Tfw you get home from a shift that dragged on for fucking ever, get into a semantics argument where you and the other person aren't even having the same conversation anymore, and when you finally sit down your browser updated, needs to get set back up from scratch, and lost all your tabs...

LRP yes yes yes We do need creatives now more than ever, but don’t feel pressured to constantly create out of fear, feel like you have to, etc etc. The best writing I’ve done is writing I’ve come back to after a week, a month, etc. The best fuel for creation is sometimes none at all. ❤️‍🩹

I see a lot of posts saying that you need to be creative, you need to draw, defy the odds, yaddayadda. Hey. It's ok to be tired. It's ok to not be able to do much. It's ok to just sit on the couch and stare at the wall. Please drink some water. Take a shower if you can. It's ok.

So as a serial game restarter I'm realizing Vintage Story almost feels like a sort of ADHD commitment therapy bc getting to any of the fun and interesting bits requires you to hard commit to a file and if I ever wanna play more than the stone and copper ages I can't just start fresh every week or so

we should all be pissed off at this btw. if not because sex work is legitimate work and should be treated with respect, then because you should be concerned at attempts to gentrify online spaces as pretext to court investors and force out minorities so those spaces can become part of a portfolio.

I hesitate to say I've fully hit the mark for either of these with Isuka since a lot of her story is just the MSQ canon, but in general I'm very much worldbuilder and loremaster.

Talk with oomf made me realize this might not be something that many people know, but some of the OG Bioware staff that left the company years ago got together with other laid off devs to open their own studio, and their first game (called Exodus) is set to release on April 2027. Give it a look.
