To be less vague about it, I do have an idea for some interesting fluffy mechanics for a game using these, so when I get the time I do want to have a shot and making a little ruleset. Will it be good? I cannot say. But it will be free, so everyone will need to shut up and be nice to me about it.

Will probably make all the vehicles generic so any faction can use them, pulled from all across different l Lego space themes. I would love to have multiple factions all with their own vehicle pool but I am a single person so I am trying to keep the project scope in the realms of ‘reasonable’.

Not sure how many different things I'll make for this but I reinforcements are already in production. Enjoy some scout craft. (these are technically Blacktron 2 rather than Blacktron 1 but I won't tell if you don't).

Never really tried making things as small as the troops so I am learning a lot about the tolerances of the material when it gets this fine. Most the variance between the factions for Lego Space is purely in the paintwork but I have, of course made some variants for ones with distinct helmets.

It always comes back to this for me; if AI was so good, such a disclosure would be a selling point. If AI was everything these slop jockeys said it was, they should be proud to let people know their game was AI made. But the proof is in the pudding, and they can't stand that people don't want it.

No stream tonight. October has been a stressful month and we do not have the spoons. The things causing the stress are pretty much sorted, which is good, but we just need a quiet night tonight.

Sorry, me too... But if it helps, you're not alone: I did something similar, but in paper and with the some of the initial LEGO space sets.

Has there been a rise in people on the right being against the teaching of algebra recently, or have I just happened to run into it more recently? Either way, it is very silly and people saying it should not be taken seriously.

Getting mad at letters showing up in sums is, I feel, a perfect example of that kind of weird grievance. They don't understand something, so rather than get curious they get mad at it, and then assume it must be bad and pointless at best, and a nefarious plot at worst.

I consider this an entry in my 'can I make an STL so niche that literally nobody ever downloads it?' series. So far the closest I've managed was spare parts for a Gobots figure. Let's see how this one does.

2026 minis 78 and 79 are a pair of 3D printed Strike Cruisers for Battlefleet Gothic. It took me a long time to decide how I wanted to paint them, but in the end the answer was ‘Rainbow Warriors, obviously’.

Huh, well I guess the RPG's not gonna be a thing after all then. Hopefully the reason for this weirdness comes out eventually, but at least the minis will see release.

Don't get me wrong, it is possible that what they say here is the complete story and after announcing it they just decided it just wasn't right and pulled the plug. I have my doubts but such things can happen. But even if it is the case then I would love to know the specific reasoning.

Even putting aside any speculation about legal issues, I would not be shocked if they just realised they were going to release a side-game of a side-game, and unless you're really sure it's gonna do gangbusters that's maybe a little risky.

Today I learned that installing PHPBB to have a forum for my webcomic in 2003 makes me more qualified to be a BBC cyber correspondent than the actual guy.

Y'know, you'd think that over a year later I'd stop getting comments every few days on my Lamenters Battlecry video that completely miss the point of what I was doing. But... they just keep coming.

One of the most frequent comments is: "Well if enough people believe it then it basically is canon". Hey cool, that is not how anything works. Please think about how such logic becomes problematic when discussing a video that is using toy soldiers to actually talk more broadly about misinformation.

Apologies for just repeating a bunch of complaints I've made before, but I frequently see people say very silly things to me and I think I need to bleed that minor frustration every now and again.

Y'know, you'd think that over a year later I'd stop getting comments every few days on my Lamenters Battlecry video that completely miss the point of what I was doing. But... they just keep coming.

And even among the people who do broadly get it, I do still feel like a lot of them think I care about what is canon and what isn't far more than I actually do. I didn't really care about the outcome of the research before I started. I just wanted to know if everyone really was wrong or if I was.

Firing all the people who make the video games is an interesting gambit for an industry that makes video games. But I'm sure it's fine.

I joke, the actual business these people are engaging in is not 'making video games', it's 'making infinity money no matter the cost so that it can be siphoned off to the richest dickheads in the world'. And the utter detonation of an entire industry is a price that doesn't even register to them.

Okay, graphics card fan is replaced and it’s running a lot quieter now, so that’s nice. Don’t feel like turning on the PC is rolling the dice on if my card overheats and dies.

Never replaced a GPU fan before, honestly. The old cards have given up the ghost/been replaced long before that kind of mechanical failure. Simple enough job, just mildly terrifying given the cost of screwing up badly is ‘1 graphics card’.

If the next CC is late it’s because it’s been an incredibly stressful month, plus I’ve had to take a few days off since a mouse got into the office and needing to pull everything out to clean behind it has been a massive pain. Anyway, here is the criminal responsible.

Also hard to work when the whole (tiny) room is covered in the books you’ve had to pull off the bookshelf to get behind. Oh and I also need to now replace the PC’s GPU fan since that’s on the fritz. October has been… a lot.

Now we are fully into the paranoia stage, where we’re looking for signs of other mice since they don’t often appear on their own even though all signs currently point to that being the case.

Now that I’ve figured out how I want to paint the marines from the Armageddon box, I suppose I should have a plan for the Orks. So my 77th mini of 2026 is a test for some pale Goffs. I’ve painted enough green skin over the years so wanted something different. Tested on a spare 2nd Ed Boy.

I love reading paint guides as a middling painter. - Base coat colour ‘Gotcha’ - recess shade ‘Uh huh’ - Edge highlight ‘Right with ya’ - second highlight ‘Wait, what?’ - third highlight ‘You’ve lost me’ - dot highlight ‘Now your just making things up’

Realised I'd not posted what I made on stream last night... I made an epic-scale Blacktron Invader. An interesting challenge since a lot needs to be tweaked for such a small scale. You can do 100% faithful, but that wouldn't work well as a mini, so there's compromises to be made.

I did, of course, also make versions with the wings folded out and a version without the central section. And if you *really* wanted to recreate the toy's play pattern, you can build one however you want with individual parts. Which includes making one with many, many middle sections if you like.

The normal length ones are about 4cm long, if you were curious. STLs will go up for free once I've printed off some test versions and made any necessary modifications. Mostly I need to know exactly how easy to break the wings and fins are.

Heres my classic metal Escher contingent for Necromunda. I'm hoping to grab the new Blades of the Matriarch set at some point. I think they still mix quite well. I prefer the flatter heels of the classic models. #miniatures #paintingwarhammer #warhammercommunity
