I feel like I need a new pinned post to introduce myself. I’m Will 👋 I’ve been making games since I was a teen. I worked on Grand Theft Auto VI, was a huge part of Cult of the Lamb, and now I'm a Senior Developer at SMG. I also make my own games, and I post a lot of silly stuff.

Seeing gamers say that devs should just not work for AAA due to layoffs Do you really think it is better working in indie? Because it absolutely isn't. Additionally, due to layoffs and the economy, most people are not in a position to be turning down ANY offer.

Truly some of the best art in and around video games has been inspired by the visual development and ancillary aesthetic language of dragon age. I hope the folks at BioWare get to put their scribbles to use elsewhere.

I literally don't have words for the news of EA closing Bioware. Unconscionable, incompetent, soulless decision-making. May everyone involved in these decision suffer Renegade interrupts for the rest of their lives.

The BioWare news is a perfect example of a world class team being shut down because of what their bosses wanted them to do, rather than just being supported in doing what they do best. Enjoy your debt, EA.

I’ve attempted to report on the Freeplay Parallels 2026 situation as comprehensively as I can at this point in time, over one week later. I’ve received comments from the Melbourne International Games Week organising team on the matter, and Wren has also provided some new remarks.

Today Rockstar bosses are taking the stand in the employment tribunal to answer allegations of union-busting. Outside, fired GTA worker Bran shared a message for the people who, last October, fired her and 30 of her colleagues without warning, due process or right of appeal.
