I’m not sure we’ve properly addressed how profoundly disturbing it is that America can largely shrug at the stashing of human beings in giant warehouses.

And that's his legacy.

Today, I am thinking of the countless victims of Epstein’s vile abuse. The files are an appalling reminder of a rotten political system that shields the rich & powerful from accountability. We need to build a new kind of politics — one that protects the safety & dignity of all.

This Black History Month remember: •Human trafficking was legal •Slavery was legal •Jim Crow was legal •US Government paying reparations to white enslavers & not to the enslaved was legal. Prison slavery is still legal. The lesson: Do not let legality & power be a measure of morality & justice.
