This time, the message went beyond protest: turn people power into voter power. Protecting free and fair elections, defending voting rights, and ensuring every eligible voter can make their voice heard are essential to our democracy. #VotingRights #lawtwitter 3/4

As lawyers, we know democracy and the rule of law cannot defend themselves. Our responsibility doesn't end when the rally does. Know your voting rights. Make a plan to vote. Help others do the same. Democracy depends on what we do next. #RuleOfLaw #appellatesky #SkyLaw 4/4

This weekend, our cofounders and members joined No Kings demonstrations in Washington, D.C., and McLean, Virginia—part of our ongoing effort to show up not only at major metropolitan rallies, but also at smaller community protests. #resistance 2/4

Those who experience harassment can pay a steep professional and personal price. And race, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, and other factors can compound its impact. At a time when some institutions are scaling back equity efforts, that matters. 3/6

The Kennedy Center was created to celebrate the arts—not presidential power. President Eisenhower helped create the National Cultural Center. President Kennedy championed it. After JFK’s assassination, Congress renamed it in his honor as a “living memorial.” #KennedyCenter #KenCen 1/4

The court ruled that Congress named the Kennedy Center—and only Congress can change its name. Trump has since said renovations won’t proceed if the courts prevent the recognition his administration seeks, and he has raised the possibility of demolishing the cultural landmark. #SkyLaw 3/4

The rule of law does not depend on whether those in power agree with it. As lawyers, when our institutions and the laws protecting them are threatened, we have a responsibility to speak up and demand that the law be followed. #appellatesky #appellatetwitter 4/4

Last weekend, our leaders joined thousands at “Hands Around the Kennedy Center” after its abrupt closure. The closure came after a federal judge again blocked efforts to put President Trump’s name on the Center. #RuleOfLaw #lawtwitter 2/4

We'll dig into those questions through survey data, case law & ethics rules—and share findings from our Still Broken survey and our Conversations With Men initiative. Earn 2 CLE credits, including 1 ethics & professionalism credit. #StillBroken #lawtwitter 2/2

The Constitution cannot defend itself. As lawyers, we understand that this is our job. On Constitution Day, we recognize our continuing responsibility to protect the democratic freedoms, opportunities, and institutions it established. #ConstitutionDay #RuleOfLaw #appellatesky #skylaw 1/2

Defend the rule of law. Protect voting rights. Preserve checks and balances. Support an independent judiciary. Speak out when these principles are threatened—no matter who is making the threats. Join us in protecting & defending the Constitution and our democracy. #appellatetwiter #lawtwitter 2/2

She helped change what women believed was possible—and reminded us that progress is not permanent. The work remains unfinished. So we keep going. We honor her not only by remembering what she accomplished, but by continuing the work. #SkyLaw #appellatesky 3/3

Despite policies, training, and ethics rules, important questions remain. What does the law require? What are lawyers' ethical obligations? What more can we do? We'll discuss those questions and share findings from our Still Broken survey. #StillBroken #AppellateSky #AppellateTwitter 2/2

The right to vote was never simply given. It was won through decades of courage and persistence. On this day in 1920, the 19th Amendment was certified. It was a landmark achievement, though many women—especially women of color—continued to face barriers to voting for decades. #19thAmendment 1/2

We honor the suffragists whose advocacy changed our nation—and we remember that democracy depends on protecting every eligible person's right to vote. We're proud to keep using the law to defend democracy, equality, and the rule of law. #RuleOfLaw #Democracy 2/2
