AOC wants Medicare at age 55. Popular, amazing proposal!! It would be the greatest domestic policy achievement in 50+ years. Dem leadership need to develop a consensus on their healthcare policy goals. You can’t beat this proposal @aoc.bsky.social @sanders.senate.gov

I wrote about -what happened on healthcare under Biden and -why Dems should push Republicans on Medicare at 60 this election, instead of just shouting “Medicare for All” or “Public Option” into the void Also Happy Turnip Day! substack.com/@doctorfanta...

Here’s the 84 pages of various healthcare proposals that the Democrats ended up expressing support for www.politico.com/f/?id=000001...

Lowering the Medicare age to 55 would cover about 42,000,000 more people, -about twice as many as the (also) popular Medicaid expansion

The Washington Post@washingtonpost.com

Exclusive: If Democrats win big in November, reversing President Trump’s Medicaid cuts and restoring ACA subsidies are priorities, but House Democrats are also talking about lowering the age of eligibility for Medicare.

Great news!! In the end, we all learned a lot. It’s good to confirm MO has referendum power on maps We already knew there was almost zero gerrymandering limitations (contiguous and close to equal districts). The People are a better check/balance than the legal limits on gerrymandering

New KFF poll: Americans want Congress to extend the expiring, enhanced Obamacare credits by a whopping margin of 78% to 22% — a remarkable political entrenchment for subsidies that were a heavy political lift for Democrats just a few years ago, per Politico.

The thing about Trump bailing Argentina out to the tune of 20 billion while shutting down the US government to kick Americans off healthcare… Argentina has universal healthcare. 😑

We’re just going to get hammered on transgender stuff again this election cycle… and for all eternity, right? Talarico, Sherrill and most other Dems think they can just deflect it, since that’s what the party has done for ten years. They don’t realize that time’s up www.foxnews.com/sports/mikie...

foxnews.comMikie Sherrill remains silent on issue of trans athletes in women's sports as Trump calls her out for itMikie Sherrill, New Jersey's Democrat candidate for governor, voted against the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act twice and co-sponsored the Transgender Bill of Rights.

So he thinks refusing to answer the question is a good long term strategy? The Democrats will never learn.

Sure. Left wing terrorism is at an all time high, going from 3% of domestic terror fatalities to 4%. Right wing terrorism on the other hand has dipped to an all time low of 95% So technically, yeah.

Lots of Democrat defectors on this, which is bizarre, since MO is the ONLY state that grabs control of police departments from major cities. It’s power consolidation at the state level, by Republicans who love politicizing crime and dislike liberal cities. #moleg

Missouri Independent@missouriindependent.com

On a 113 to 39 vote, the Missouri House gave final approval to a bill to put the city’s police department under control of a board made up of the St. Louis mayor and five commissioners appointed by the governor and confirmed by the state Senate. #moleg #mogov

The government’s “sell or be banned” edict on TikTok was always a threat to our free speech, full stop. Vague, unsupported claims of propaganda shouldn’t be a basis for cutting Americans off from global speakers and audiences.

The FCC’s explicit threats to ABC’s licenses is clear coercion in violation of the 1A. Similar threats were recently unanimously found to be violations by SCOTUS. Even Justice Thomas called those actions “ham-fisted. Here’s some facts from Vullo v NRA and then the FCC statement regarding Kimmel

/7 That case ended in a convoluted and not particularly helpful SCOTUS decision. Far more illustrative and clear is the very recent case of NRA v. Vullo. Vullo was a NY official who thuggishly suggested enforcement action against insurers that did business with the NRA.

I agree that enforcement is the problem Even if he wins and they drag it out for a year or more-eventually he goes back to ABC. Even if he got screwed and did nothing wrong, they want him to be hated or whatever- like Bud Light. The overall goal is basically to make him a financially damaged asset

5 months ago I was feeling good, but look at this agile mf. Not so sure that I’ll finish the Trump era able to kick humanoid robots’ asses!

Gonna start the Whataboutism Party. I won’t even pretend to try to make things better I’ll just be like “well what about this one time this one totally other guy said a wrong thing about something” and everyone will say “yeah that one thing was wrong- thats BS” and then we’ll win all the elections

Pretty sure my Rep doesn’t know how districting works Your domicile determines your Rep. They make a map. You vote for new Reps, based on your registered domicile. The old districts are used until the new Reps are seated and sworn in. How would this mid-decade MO process change that?
