Nothing and no one should stand between New Yorkers and their right to vote — least of all the government.
Early voting is happening now through November 1. Election Day is November 3. See you at the polls!

Anisley Cortés, the wife of Noslén Sendra, is one of many who has an ill loved one in ICE detention facing deportation. We must call attention to the medical neglect in these facilities and demand proper care, not deportation. #ImmigrantRights #HumanRights #DemandDemocracy #WorkersCircle

Emiliano Andrade-Covarrubias has died at a GEO-owned for-profit concentration camp in Texas. DHS denied him life saving medication, including for heart disease after he complained of chest tightness and trouble breathing. Emiliano was a father, husband, son who deserved dignity and due process.

By locking the No Kings Coalition account, Meta was engaging in voter suppression. Unacceptable.

The No Kings coalition issued an open letter to Mark Zuckerberg after their account was censored & locked out during the largest single-day voting activation in U.S. history. Our co-president @lisa-pubcitizen.bsky.social reinforces that No Kings refuses to be silenced.

This past weekend in Charlotte, Workers Circle members joined the Center for Common Ground, Team Unity, and local volunteers. Together we went door to door, bringing nonpartisan voting information to Black voters. These are voters who have been squarely targeted by restrictive voting laws.

And as a team, we knocked on 1,028 doors! One of the people knocking was Bob Kaplan, a member of The Workers Circle board and former president. Bob is 91 years old, and he personally knocked on 50 of those doors. #DemandDemocracy

50 doors. Up and down the streets of Charlotte, he went door after door. He did it because he believes, like we do, that every eligible voter deserves the chance to make their voice heard. #GOTV #GetOutTheVote #socialjustice

Across the country, communities and advocates are standing together to push back against aggressive immigration enforcement overreach. From blocking new detention warehouses to standing up for our neighbors, our collective action is making a difference.

Trump’s appointees wanted a voting machine hacked, the findings sent to the White House, and its maker kept in the dark. And we’re supposed to trust them? Nobody in power should get a secret weapon to challenge the votes that could fire them. #TrumpsCrimesOnYourDime

Following a press conference with the Workers Circle's Director of Social Justice, Noelle Damico, Immigrant Rights Organizer, Arianne Betancourt, and families of detainees, USA TODAY reports on gravely ill ICE detainees in South Florida facing possible deportation to African countries.

“‘I received a call from several detainees letting me know that men were being pulled in to interviews with deportation agents, where they were being informed that because of their medical conditions, Mexico would not be accepting their entry, and they will be sent to Africa,’ Arianne Betancourt"

In this article, author Lev Golinkin describes how the film and the benefit’s cause resonate with his own personal history as a Jewish refugee from Soviet Ukraine seeking the American dream.

This illustration from the October 1950 edition of the Call highlights how Congress should be answerable to the people who elect them. With the midterms in only a few weeks, vote for strong leadership whose actions back up their words. #TheCall #WorkersCircle #Vote #Voting Courtesy, "Justice"

We knocked 1,028 doors this past weekend in Charlotte, North Carolina as part of our voter empowerment efforts to get out the vote and fight voter suppression before the midterms! #NoKings #NoKingsVoteEarly #GOTV #GetOutTheVote #DemandDemocracy

This October, we’re ghosting voter suppression. It’s time to leave limiting groups of people to register, vote, or cast an effective ballot in the dirt. Every eligible voter deserves the same opportunity to vote. What are you ghosting? #WorkersCircle #Ghosting #SpookySeason #SocialJustice

Oscar Belgal was shot in his car while his five year old was sitting in the back seat. He is now in ICE custody with the bullet still lodged in his neck. We will not be silent until Oscar is released, the agents involved are held accountable, and ICE is abolished. #ICEOutOfNY #DemandDemocracy

Gemini and Crypto. com faced SEC investigations. Trump’s SEC dropped them. Then the companies, executives, & investors tied to those cases sent more than $210 million to Trump-aligned super PACs. That’s a hell of a return on investment and it didn’t help you. #TrumpsAbuseOfPower

You pay $4 at the pump. Trump calls Canada, our biggest energy partner, “one of the worst countries in the world,” then goes shopping for diesel from Russia. Putin gets cash for his war. Trump gets a headline. You get the bill. #TrumpsAbuseOfPower

We stand with Indivisibles and our partners demanding Oscar Belgal’s release, a full independent investigation, and immediate release of the body camera footage. And we join them in urging the public not to shop at Target until they stop letting DHS use their parking lots as staging sites for ICE!
