This cube was my #1 to play at @bostoncubeparty.com last year and it absolutely delivered. The designer did such a good job finding really clean mechanical overlaps across the 3 sets in a way that was so satisfying. Highly recommend!

Drive cars, pilot mechs, unlock rooms, and flip sagas in this flavorful ode to Neon Dynasty, Duskmourn, and Aetherdrift! Neon House of Drift is another cube in a long list of cubes that make me wish I could play in my own event! Designed by Aerris cubecobra.com/cube/list/Ne...

Visual Design Prompt - reimagine and redesign the original 151 Pokemon exclusively using product names from the Ikea catalogue. This thought brought to you by me wife building furniture in the room and me pronouncing EKET like "Ekans!"

You ever finally pull the trigger on buying cards for a #mtgcube and then start another cube and by the time the cards come you're already maybe more excited about the new cube?

The Fixing is 4x Pathways and 4x Landscapes, so no land taps for 2 colors, and splashing is encouraged/relatively easy, but you still need to pay pretty close attention to your pips.

LOOKING FOR SPONSORS! Trying to do something much more ambitious next year but venues in Boston are prohibitively expensive. If you can help in any way or know someone who can, lmk! RTs appreciated ❤️

Replying to @andy.luckypaper.co

An enormously satisfying 3-0 in a cube I fell in love with immediately. I have so many more thoughts but it’s 1:30am and I must sleep. Thank you Lincoln and the whole @capitolcube.org team. Long live Cube.

If you're more of an Audio/Podcast person vs. written words, you can also now listen to my Obscura Design interview with @andy.luckypaper.co and @anthony.luckypaper.co if that's more your speed! The article goes into more detail around my experience at Obscura too! open.spotify.com/episode/70jB...

Still hungry for even more #C4ACObscura? @worklifevalue.bsky.social drafted (heh) a recap of his experience and process as an Obscura designer, as well as a tournament report on his journey to the top 8. #MTGCube upkeepnewyork.substack.com/p/behind-the...

Kibler Google - my dad (79) called me today to ask about "how computers work" and if I had any ideas on how to learn that. Does anyone have any recommended, clean resources that they recommend - to read or watch - that explain it well to someone who is using a Jitterbug flip phone, link me below.

I did a thing! Scott asked me to write a bit about my full Obscura experience (spanning nearly a year!) from Cube Ideation all the way through making Top 8 at the event itself! This is long - since it's both design article and tournament report - but please let me know your thoughts!

OK, assuming we see the PE "Leverage, Extract, Enshittify, Destroy" playbook here, who now has the easiest buylist functionality vs. inventory stuff? I've not been able to get out to events as much recently and I'd rather keep trading cardboard for cardboard.

A lot of the stuff I've been working on has been requiring like...very specific, weirder inventory that's not necessarily high-end, so places that I go for pretty/shiny/rare cardboard aren't the best fit for picking up my MP old border draft chaff.

I won't be able to be at GSC, but one of me scurvy mates will be smuggling The Perilous Seas to the event. While this event is sadly right before the massive shakeup I'm anticipating from Nauctis, I love where this cube is right now, especially since cutting a few big outliers!

Piracy, exploration, treasure, and the fantastical! The next announced cube is The Perilous Seas, designed by @worklifevalue.bsky.social. A grixis-only desert cube evoking The Pirates of the Carribean franchise that's definitely worth a look! cubecobra.com/cube/list/e2...

Hardware store/card-seller hybrid that had an inventory problem:

Mana Pool@manapool.com

A buyer reported that their cards are damaged because the seller included a random wrench in the package. Which do you think happened: 1) the seller had a late night 2) the buyer is scamming 3) Canada Post repackaged the cards at the border and threw in a wrench

I'm so excited to finally share the concept of this cube, which I had to keep a secret for 9 months! Auction ends Friday. www.youtube.com/watch?v=bLwK...

I’m also donating a 90 minute video call with the winner to talk about what I learned from this event, the buyer’s goals for the cube, and how I would tweak the list with both in mind.
