Got Birdigo in the Steam sale and it's very funny to have a Balatro-ified word game because I just had a successful run where I started playing the word "Box" over and over

Sometimes you play word games for a language puzzle, but sometimes the ultimate form of the English language is a word that you've already played that consists of three gold letters and at least one B and X. Then filter hard for those and ride them to the end. Truly, I am a wordsmith.

First it was youtube ads of fake games that looked like dogshit. Then the ads had streamer types to "react" to them inside of the ads, as if playing these games was desirable. Now the content of these ads is AI generated, including the "streamers" and I never understood who would want any of it.

I know that Star Wars fatigue is very real among those of us who care/try to keep up but in my heart of hearts I just think that the series has gotten in its own way over the past few years and this could easily be the best next move.

It comes I suppose from waves of disingenuous internet discourse but whenever I hear the framing of "they just have to apologise and it will fix <issue>" it activates my fight or flight

I love seeing a reference to 'Google Mail' out in the wild. For anyone who doesn't know Google have allocated to any Gmail account the matching Google Mail email - so if you were emailing either wrenclouds@gmail.com or wrenclouds@googlemail.com there's actually no difference.

It's so easy to go with wars, empires or sports that it feels like cheating to go there. You could make an incredible series on the coal trade to London that spanned mediaeval through 20th C., I'm not sure if it's 20 parts but it'd be a banger.

**This game, to me, is called Martian Alert. I had a copy and my sister had a French copy and we would even play multiplayer with our GameBoy Colours using the terrible link cable (we tried the infrared, oof). It is rare to 100% this game on GBC because you need at least two, so take that nerds.
