The show was filmed here, hence the party. Season 2 films starting in March 2027. Cast and crew return! I love living where they’re filming a hit horror comedy! #WriteStuff

Her trust is dead. Can he resurrect it? This slow burn, romantic fantasy romp is filled with ghosts (some helpful, others less so) graveyards, conniving thieves, and nefarious necromancers. Available for pre-order. Out Oct. 29th. 💀 🪦 #Booksky #Wrencer 📚️ ❤️ books2read.com/u/b61YR0

#WriteStuff Planting Life in a Dying City is a queernormative fantasy in a world where polyamorous marriage is normal & those without proper family are shunned by society. In a city that rejects change seven strangers create a new family & challenge the status quo books2read.com/u/3JOR5E

Oh my heart. Sounds like you raised amazing sons! #WriteStuff

My older son once told my younger son that he was "scrappy" and he really took it to heart. He became scrappy, even though he was one of the littlest boys in his class. Then he grew and he stayed scrappy on the inside. #WriteStuff

7 . November is coming up and with it, the howling remnants of Nanowrimo. Some veterans are seeking alternative writing challenges or groups. Do you have any superstitions about November or plans to bypass the post-Nano shock? #WriteStuff

4 . When you think of luck, which characters of yours come to mind? If you don't have a character associated with luck, who would you create? #WriteStuff

3 . There are some urban myths and superstitions related to creation, like not saying "Macbeth" in a stage theater, avoiding the number 13, or talking about a book idea until the novel is done. What are some creative superstitions you know or would like to make up? #WriteStuff

Cori Palladium@coripalladium.bsky.social

I used to have a black cat. That little dude loved to try to steal my pens while I was writing, and I didn't solve the issue until I gave him a decoy pen, which he then liked to bat around like he thought he was writing too.

A great evening to everyone! It is time for another #WriteStuff chat! I am Priya Sridhar, your host, and our theme is Very Superstitious! Who feels lucky to be with us tonight on National Black Cat Day? #WriteStuff

Tonight, another #WriteStuff chat hits the ground running! At 9 PM EST, come join us. Our theme is "Very Superstitious" For National Black Cat Day! #WriteStuff

Thanks for joining us tonight #WriteStuff! Please share this chat w/ new members of the #WritingCommunity. We'll be back at it again next Tuesday at 9 pm ET. Until then, happy writing!

#WriteStuff Q6: Bringing it back around, who’s someone you’d like to bump into? Step it up: who’s someone you’d like to bump into at your book signing?

#WriteStuff Q5: As I bumped into my nurse multiple times, I wondered about the quirk of life that makes these series of moments curious. What is it in human nature that makes these moments distinct?

#WriteStuff Q4: If you’re like me, bumping into someone can be awkward. Writing about bumping into someone is challenging. It’s not just the beginning of a scene, it’s the beginning of a relationship (good or bad). Any ideas on how to approach these scenes?

#WriteStuff Q3: A classic example of repeatedly bumping into another character is the first half hour of “When Harry Met Sally.” Or how about the chance encounter like “Sleepless in Seattle?” Character introductions matter, but how do we find the clever and avoid the cliché?

#WriteStuff Q2: Okay, less literally, how do two of your characters meet? Share an example that is unusual/distinct and what you like about the encounter?

#WriteStuff Q1: I like to start with the most obvious questions first: Does anyone literally bump into someone else in your writing? If so, what prompted you to include this? As a reader/viewer, do you find it awkward?

Aloha! Welcome to #WriteStuff where writers talk about writing. Tonight we’re talking about Bumping into Other Characters. I’m @pamportland.org here to host this week’s conversation. Introduce yourself and what you’ve written recently. Say hi to everyone joining tonight!
