Today’s GOP isn’t “conservative.” It reelected a man who tried to overthrow our Gov’t, who wants to destroy institutions, and who wants the Gov’t between a doctor & her patient. Conservatives believe in incremental change, in institutional knowledge, not one man.
But that’s not today’s GOP.
Some are criticizing Trump for promising to give Iran $325B to *talk* about ending the war, saying that’s a lot more than the $400M Obama gave in 2015 to start talks that led to the JCPOA. But with Trump’s inflation, it’s actually a lot less. 😂🤣

I really hate the way Trump treats people. He is mean, cruel, and vindictive. Why would anyone like him as a person? Why would people even vote for him?

This takes place the day after his UFC birthday bash.
Let's have him wake up to news of Congress being flooded with calls.
Calls demanding he be removed from office.
United, we are the true power in this country.
Let's remind Trump of that.
One day.
One million calls.
We can make it happen!
Since taking office, Ken Paxton has become a multi-millionaire while our pay has stagnated.
He owns 11 homes while most Texans can’t afford one.
He trades favors with rich donors while blocking overtime pay for workers.
Paxton doesn’t serve us — he serves himself.
GOP Priorities are on FULL DISPLAY right now. We've spent the SAME amount on a USELESS WAR of death & destruction when we could have given UNIVERSAL COLLEGE to worthy students ACROSS OUR COUNTRY. People, WAKE UP.
Trump’s plans for our nation’s 250th anniversary of a cage match on the White House lawn only proves we’re that much closer to idiocracy and Trump is our Terry Crews (but with less energy).
Did anyone see Trump on MTP? What’s with his repeated statement to Welker, “you were in Vietnam for 19 years.”
Is Trump implicitly admitting he’s not an American?
Why do Dems adopt the far right’s extreme language, like “sanctuary city”? Why use it w/o saying what it means or how it works, like how it makes cities safer b/c immigrants feel safe to report real crimes? Sanctuary cities have some of the lowest per capita violent crime rates in the US.

SCOTUS’s ruling in the Alabama voter map case can’t be reconciled w/ its recent ruling in Louisiana’s voter map case. In the Louisiana case decided in April, it said race can’t be used to create an additional minority seat. In today’s Alabama case, it said race could be used to eliminate them.
SCOTUS’s ruling today in the Alabama voter map case confirmed it truly believes in the constitutional doctrine of “original intent,” and originally, Blacks couldn’t vote per the Constitution.

Reporter: If the president's in such perfect health, why does he keep going back in for checkups?
Oz: He likes the results. He does really well. Uh, he aces the test every single day
I’ve seen mice exhibit more courage than Mike Pence did yesterday on MTP. Sure, he condemned the $1.776B Trump wants for so-called “victims” of Biden’s weaponization of the Justice Dept., but he didn’t condemn Trump & his policies more broadly, choosing instead to attack Talarico as a radical.

Note to media: police arresting peaceful protesters singing “give peace a chance” is not protesters “clashing” with police. It’s the state violating the First Amendment rights of people upset that human beings who did nothing illegal are being held without due process and being fed maggots.
"The question of whether or not Congress should impeach and remove the president isn't a question for polling. It's not a question for political consultants. ... This is a battle for the soul of the country, a battle for its democracy, a battle for its constitution and a battle for the rule of law."
The real-world effect of last week’s Supreme Court ruling in the Louisiana congressional district map case is that Republicans no longer have to pretend they’re not racists/racist-tolerant/racist-adjacent.

Trump wants to pay wind farms $1 Billion to not produce energy. I don’t produce energy and I’m wondering if Trump would be willing to pay me just $1 million. 😂🤣
Whether it’s Iran, mid-decade redistricting, or picking a fight with the Pope, the common thread is Trump isn’t used to seeing pushback from those he bullies.
In his first 100 days, Zohran Mamdani has:
-Delivered millions in restitution for workers cheated by gig companies
-Cracked down on predatory landlords
-Launched the first stage of a universal childcare program
-Fixed thousands of potholes in NYC streets
This is what leadership looks like.
Trump is an idiot. He compared NATO allies’ refusal to help in his war against Iran to why the US should do nothing about Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. 🤦♂️
P.S. to say Trump is an idiot is redundant. I’ll try to refrain from further redundancies.
Can someone explain how we elected such a complete and total moron to be the leader of the world’s most powerful country, a person who’s now doing all the things everyone said he’d do, and when we told them he’d do these stupid things, they’d said, “you got TDS”?
What a stupid fucking thing for Trump to say.
Our POS POTUS needs to learn to think further out than his dick. At best, his threats are hollow, and at worst, they do more harm than good.
WH National Economic Council Director, Kevin Hassett, with an own goal, saying the March jobs number (178,000) was “one of the best in a long time.” No shit, Kev, the economy under Trump has sucked, so “best since Biden” sounds about right.
FYI: in 2024, Biden’s average jobs number was 186,000.
This is Sprout. He just turned 21, so his doggy retirement home threw him the party of the year. After getting his new ID, Sprout got his first legal pup cup, then he and his friends celebrated with cake, presents, and even a Sprout-themed calendar. 13/10 happy birthday buddy #SeniorPupSaturday
It will be interesting to see if the self-described textualists, Clarence Thomas & Sam Alito, will take the Trump Administration’s argument that the 14th amendment’s clause, “all persons born in the USA are citizens,” means “all persons born in the USA are citizens” or means something else. 🤔
Not only does Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent sound increasingly dumber each time he appears on a Sunday morning talk show, he also comes across as a bigger asshole each time.
