Someday I'll have fiber internet and I'll be unstoppable. And on that day, the world will rue the days that I didn't have it.

I finished playing Marvel's Wolverine on PS5 last night. I think it's a good game, but the combat is lacking and clunky in my opinion. It doesn't leave a lot of room for player expression, and I experienced a lot of clipping bugs in my playthrough. The performances and story were very good.

I feel like the scent trail drama was dumb. There's not much to explore in this game, so I actually preferred it keeping me on track instead of going down an empty corridor with nothing to find, identical to the other corridor with 50 materials.

It's time for the yearly review of iPhone cameras from Austin Mann. And this year's examples just show how good the cameras are. Seriously just go look at the photographs! And so many new pro controls right in the app. I need to get out and start shooting. www.austinmann.com/trek/iphon...

"Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic." - Arthur C. Clarke I used to view this quote: as society progresses, we'll understand magic over time. Now, I view it backwards and people still don't appreciate the magic and become more technologically superstitious.

According to Circana's Future of Insights for Video Games Consumer Survey, cost is becoming a stronger driver of US cancellations to Xbox Game Pass Essential, PS Plus Essential and Nintendo Switch Online. Over 40% of those canceling in the US cite cost as a primary driver, higher than seen in Q1.

So far I've enjoyed playing Marvel Tōkon. It's hard to say if this is going to be any more accessible or inviting than other fighting games to bring in new players. The artstyle and presentation is top notch.

it's so vital to have journalists who cover the video game industry, so we have full context on shit like this

As the director of a historical video game preservation institution, and someone who has dedicated his entire adult life to this cause, this is accurate. We have attempted to work with the industry's trade organization to find a legal path forward, but they refuse to offer a meaningful alternative.

piracy is the only extant form of media preservation that exists in games right now, you might find it morally reprehensible but there is literally no other institution that will keep games alive in 25, 50 years' time

Tomorrow I'm playing Star Fox 64 at 9 pm ET, and it's a head-to-head matchup against @wyomingjarbo.com ! We start together at Corneria before branching off. He's taking the hard route toward Sector Y, and I'm going through the asteroid field before meeting up at Area 6. Who wins? Feeding America.

I played through the mainline Star Fox games a month ago on my stream. I manifested the new remake! (Same thing happened last year with Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Bananza)

That being said, I am sad it's a remake of Star Fox 64, but the OG and Star Fox Zero are not the same game. Same setting and story? Sure, but they play way different and shouldn't be considered the "same game", unless you just mean it's a rail shooter.

I also don't want to be a Star Fox Zero apologist, but I gave it a fair shake again last month and, after a lot of frustration, I was able to have some fun with the game. I'm excited for this remake because it's the gateway to introducing new people to Star Fox. Why not start with the best?

I am moving one of the things on my list for Meal-Morial Madness to the next year. Because I realized it coincided with something I've already got planned, and I don't want to do double work. Future Jared please don't be mad. But look at me, being smart and not overdoing it.

More Meal-Morial Madness behind the scenes (MMMMBTS?). Reminding myself once again, it's probably not a good idea to redo something all over again a month in advance. But 2027, now we're talking. Points if this doesn't sound like gibberish to you.

What's even better, you can deliver video podcasts over RSS. But I can't remember the last time I watched a podcast like this. It was popular in the late 2000s and early 2010s. People don't want to host video or allow it free to download.
