Just finished Final Fantasy 5, which means it's finally time for FF8! I've really been looking forward to this one since both of the other PS1 era FF games were so good. After FF8 I think I will lock in hard on catching up my new FF14 account before Evercold, but I may also start Kingdom Hearts 👀

Current to do list: FF5 -> Chrono Trigger -> FF8 FF14 (full replay on new account) Kingdom Hearts Resident Evil 5-9 Half-Life 1&2 GTA 5 (maybe SA too?) Hades 2 Talos Principle 2 Octopath 0 Future releases I want to play: Final Fantasy Resonance Ocarina of Time remake FF7 Revelation (aka GOTY 2027)

I’ve been playing a lot of games but slacking on posting about them 🫣 Some recent ones: Red Dead Redemption 1&2, Seance of Blake Manor, The Ratline, Final Fantasy 1-5 Pixel Remasters, Mixtape, and Saints Row the Third. Now I just started Mina the Hollower, I’m still very early but loving it so far

Still upset about this btw. The word was “gunky”…

I lost my wordle streak today when I was so close to 1 year 😭😭😭

I've now 100%ed the entire Life is Strange series! The new one (Reunion) was awesome, definitely lands near the top of the list for me. I think this is my personal ranking: LIS 2 > LIS 1 > Reunion > Before the Storm > Double Exposure > True Colors

The latest extremely long game I just finished: Octopath Traveler 2! This was great, they made a ton of improvements from the first game. Still a little slow at the start, but once I got deeper in the game I couldn't put it down.

I came to Minneapolis to report on what's going on, and one of the main questions I showed up with is "just what is the scale of the resistance?" After all, we're all used to the news calling Portland a "war zone" or whatever when it's just some protests in one part of town.

My latest 100%: Grounded! This game was completely out of left field for me, not something I would normally play, but I started volunteering as a Big Brother (youth mentor) and my little brother got me addicted to it lol

Some games that I'm hoping to play in 2026: Octopath Traveler 2 (just started this) Kingdom Hearts series NieR Replicant Final Fantasy 2, 3, 4, 5, and 8 Deltarune chapters 2-4 Hades II

I just realized that I forgot to post any gaming updates for a while, so here's a list of everything I played in the last few months lol (and I loved them all!) Undertale Deltarune (only ch1 so far) Final Fantasy 9 Final Fantasy 1 Ace Attorney trilogy The Looker NieR Automata Grounded

All done with FFX and FFX-2!! I thought I would be playing Hades 2 next, but turns out I’m still in the mood for more final fantasy, so I’ve moved onto FFIX instead. Really vibing with it so far

I finished Silksong and ended up thinking it surpassed Hollow Knight in pretty much every way, and then felt like doing a little victory lap by replaying Hollow Knight for like the 5th time lol. It’s crazy how easy it feels now in comparison

Silksong is turning out to be one of those very rare games where I can play it for like 8 hours straight without noticing the time passing. I'm so glad this is actually living up to my expectations

Added some interactivity to my Blue Prince cosplay for San Diego Comic Con. Those who spot me will be invited to draft a room sticker and place it on my blueprint! Be one of the first to help me assemble a convention-exclusive house layout, and I just might have a floorplan upgrade disk for you.

Okay I actually love the one button assistant they added to WoW. Tried it out in a few dungeons today and it seemed to work pretty well. Will be nice to get some more of my alts from 70 to 80 instead of letting them gather dust because the barrier of setting up action bars/weakauras/etc is too scary

After playing the FFVII remakes and then going back to replay FFXVI, I have to admit I think the combat is…rough. I just don’t think it gets better than VIIR in terms of ARPG combat. At least FFXVI is nice enough to give you items that basically auto battle for you if you’re not feeling it lol

I still think FFXVI gives one of the best cinematic experiences out of any game I’ve played though, and that is its main strength. I loved it enough that I’m going back to it now even though I have a lot more games in my backlog

Had to jump on the bandwagon and play Clair Obscur before continuing with my backlog. I think everyone’s already said everything that needs to be said about this game, but I’ll definitely add in my voice to say this was one of the best RPGs I’ve played.

I finally beat Octopath Traveler tonight, but at what cost?? I started the final boss fight sequence around midnight and did not expect it to take 3 hours… (and there’s no option to save and quit once you’ve started) 😵‍💫 That was a fun game, but it took 120+ hours to 100%, so I’m ready to move on lol

Officially done now 💕 Excited to eventually play Octopath 2 since I've heard it's even better than the first, but for now, Final Fantasy X-2 is next up (then probably Clair Obscur after that). I'm in my turn-based era I guess

done with the next big step on my final fantasy journey! I liked 6 a lot, can see why it’s such a classic in the series. Not a contender for my favorite, but was definitely worth my time.

I posted a video of my Day One run with live commentary if anyone is interested! I've never made a video like this before and it was super fun. #BluePrince Warning, there are a few spoilers/puzzle solutions you may not want to see if you're currently playing this yourself or plan to at some point.

This was one of my most satisfying gaming accomplishments in a hot minute. it felt so good to get these after 10+ hours of attempts, especially since the run wasn’t even going that well… until suddenly everything clicked together right at the end. I LOVE THIS GAME #BluePrince

Today I passed 100 hours played in Rain World 😵‍💫 It took multiple tries for me to actually like this game, but now it has really dug its claws into me

My latest gaming win! I decided I couldn't wait for remake part 3 to find out how this ends. It ended up being a really charming game even though it's obviously very dated. Definitely worth my time (although I did use mods to bypass a lot of the painful grinds)

Finished FFVII Rebirth! I loved this game, was a really cool expansion of the world from Remake. I’ve already done almost everything for 100% achievements except replaying hard mode, but I think I’ll leave that for a bit later, ~120 hours was enough for now

And done! I expected that I would only be playing FF7R for the story and not 100%ing it, but once I got into it, it was so fun that I didn't want to put it down. On to Rebirth now! I've been told that 100%ing this one would be significantly more painful than it was for Remake, but we'll see...

Got to what I’m now assuming is the hardest boss in FFVII Remake around 12:30 am, decided to beat it before going to bed… it is now 3:30. Whoops

yeah yeah, I know healing parses are cringe and all that, but on the other hand... making my logs page look like this is still really satisfying lol

FFVII Remake is a crazy good game. I thought for sure I’d go straight into Rebirth or a different game right after finishing Remake, but I like Remake so much that I’m actually replaying the whole thing on hard mode + going for all achievements

FFVII Remake has me fully hooked. It took me a while to warm up to the combat, and the story's a little slow at the beginning too, but it REALLY picks up around chapter 9-12

My top 25 games, updated :) I took off some of the childhood nostalgia games and added in some more recent games that are worthy of the list

UPDATE: according to steam achievement stats, only about 10% of players manage to roll credits on Rain World, and I am now one of them 🎉 It's gotta be one of the most unique games I've ever played, while simultaneously being the hardest to get into

currently giving Rain World another try… this game has not been good at keeping my attention span, but I so badly want to understand why it’s such a cult classic. The people that love it, LOVE it, and I wish to be one of them tbh

I feel like Rain World is a game that doesn't want to be played. It offers very little in the way of rewarding you for overcoming most obstacles. But if you are persistent and stay determined to conquer it, then eventually it gives up its secrets, and when it does it's mind-blowing.

I've heard that completing the main campaign is actually only scratching the surface and that most of the content is in the DLC, so I'll be back for that at some point, but for now I think I need another little break from this game lol
