I wonder why squashed commits are not counted in the GitHub contribution history even though it's considered a best practice to keep a clean commit history 🤔

I just realized that the number of my GitHub contributions is way less this year than last. 🤓 This is not because I was less active on GitHub, but because of merging pull requests with "squash and merge" to keep the git histories clean.

A month ago, I started to work on that vaguely defined feature for @vestiaire.io. I quickly realized the scope was too large. I then split the feature into 15 sub-tasks. 🤯 But the existing feature branch was too dirty for a history split, so I kept working on the same branch 🤓 Today is the day🚀

Finally, we will have some good weather tomorrow. It has been a while 🌤️ Time to clean tomorrow's tasks to take the day off.

Microsoft just released a tool that lets you convert Office files to Markdown. Never thought I'd see the day. Google also added Markdown export to Google Docs a few months ago. github.com/microsoft/markitdown
