3… 2… 1… Liftoff! 🚀 I'm very happy to announce version 2.0 of "License Plate Wiki" is now available on the App Store! 🎉 With an iPad app and many new features! #BuildInPublic

I just realized: iPhone Duo is the first "tablet" from Apple with haptics. I've quite often missed this on normal iPads (yes, I know there's a reason why iPads don't have this especially when being used as desktop devices but still…)

This morning, I asked Claude to make a classic newspaper app and it turned out pretty neat. It even added a shine-through effect from the backside of a page.

Damn. Not sure if it's just an illusion but typing with the split keyboard in angled screen mode uses a different haptic feedback (left/right) than typing in full-width keyboard mode (center balanced). Incredible.

Attention designers and developers! I just released my second Mac app: SF Balloons! 🎈 Think of it as the emoji picker, but for SF Symbols. Super handy if you use them a lot and don’t want to keep switching apps. It’s free, so get it here 👇 apps.apple.com/app/sf-ballo... #IndieDev #BuildInPublic

I was surprised when I found out Now Playing on macOS doesn't show songs playing on a HomePod (as iOS does). So, I built my own tool. Convenient *and* beautiful. Progressive blurs, animated album covers and all the other good stuff 🥰

And another one! The latest version of my app is now available and comes with a shiny new app for Apple Watch ⌚️🎉 #BuildInPublic

I am super excited to share that my very first iOS app, Velorino, is now live in the App Store ✨ Velorino is your cycling companion, showing you POIs like public water dispenser to fill up your bottles, snack stations to grab a snack, or self-service bike stations. apple.co/4kRPB7N

“The size of the watchOS variant is 76MB, which exceeds the maximum allowable size of 75MB after app thinning.” 🫠 🫠 🫠

Today’s task was to divide my Mac screen into 8 pizza slices to enable automatic snapping 🍕🧲 #BuildInPublic

What a crazy week. In addition to new updates for my license plate app, I built three new Mac apps. Each of them serves a different purpose and was created to simplify my workflow. I am most proud of a (not-so-small) GeoJSON viewer app. #BuildInPublic

Excited to announce that Aeronaut is now live in the Mac App Store! 🎉 After two years of tinkering, polishing, and obsessing over the little things, it’s finally here! If you’re looking for a Bluesky app designed and built for macOS, take a look… apps.apple.com/us/app/aeronau…

Oh my! My app has quietly surpassed 500 ratings globally, and it's still rocking at 4.9! 🤩🥳 I couldn't be happier! #IndieDev

I'm working on the next version of my app and finally decided to reduce its size (was 300 MB). After days and nights of compressing and optimising images, plus a small breakdown yesterday when it reached 1 GB 🫠, I'm happy with the result: only 80 MB! 🥳🥳🥳 #BuildInPublic

🚨THE WAIT IS OVER🚨 I’m very happy to announce that my little license plate app is now also available on Android! 🤖🎉 #buildinpublic #indiedev

There's reason to celebrate! One year ago today, Kennzeichen Wiki was released in the App Store! 🎈🎂 A lot has happened in the meantime, and even an Android app is in the starting blocks 😎 At this point, I'd just like to say a big thank you to all of you! Here's to many more years! 🫶 #BuildInPublic

I'm not sure if a macOS app can be more niche than this: I wanted to access the macOS share sheet in @vivaldi.com faster, or by clicking on a button, rather than using File > Share. So, I built an app for it. You can join the TestFlight, if that is your thing. www.philipptemmel.com/writing...

philipptemmel.comIntroducing ShareBridgely – my first, and super niche macOS app · Philipp TemmelI wanted an easier and quicker access to the macOS share sheet from Vivaldi, so I built an app for it.

Hot take: The more I work with Jetpack Compose and Kotlin AND SwiftUI on iOS, the less I get why companies still prefer cross-platform solutions. It's been less than a month and my app is 95 % ported to Android. Sure, it takes time but the outcome is so much better. #buildinpublic

And the best part? My app still *looks* like my app but *feels* it was built for the specific platform. So no half-baked “almost native” compromise! 💪

In iPadOS 26, the new menu bar automatically adds an action that links to your app’s system settings. However, pressing [⌘,] should usually open your in-app settings. Using CommandGroup (replacing: .appSettings) takes care of that. #SwiftUI

All good things come in threes! 3️⃣🎉 Version 3 of License Plate Wiki is now available and comes with Liquid Glass, Statistics (finally) and 12 (!) new countries! #BuildInPublic #iOS26

I'm this close to releasing the next big update with new features, content and Liquid Glass just in time for the release of iOS 26. So damn close! 🤏

A little while ago, I had the pleasure of creating the new app icon for Ocean 🌊 I’m thrilled to finally see it out in the wild! Congratulations to the team! 🎉

This is an #appreciationPost for the latest Ocean icon created by @yanlu.chat Love that it's not another variation of a coloured envelope. Too bad the MacOS will not be used because of the new squircle requirements. Thanks a bunch Yannick. Superb...
