How to make open Civic Tech sustainable?
This is a topic we're exploring next Tuesday, at @metagov.bsky.social. Our facilitation partner, @apreslabiere.fr will join us for the short presentation, followed by an open discussion.
We look forward to meeting you there!

The idea first started taking shape when
@pujaohlhaver.bsky.social proposed to create a "decentralized deliberation standard" during a call with
@yutingjiang.com.
After that I took two weeks to launch dds.xyz.
Almost immediately, it attracted a lot of attention from many communities.
“We have the tools. Now we need each other.”
We’re delighted to join the 𝗗𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁 in Paris on 𝟮–𝟯 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 as a Community Partner hosted by Deeply Human Innovation together with the Learning Planet Institute.
Hope to see you in Paris: deeplyhuman.io/summit

Through Amplify, citizens, civil society organizations, and local authorities come together to deliberate on local development issues.
Plutôt que se haïr sur des différences irréconciables d'éducation des enfants, et si on posait et célébrait des bases communes à ce qu'on considère consensuellement important ?

C'est ce que permet @agoracitizen.network, contrairement aux plateformes mainstreams.
At EthPrague last week, I talked about the shift from 𝗕𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗱𝗰𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 (hearing from the loudest) to 𝗕𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝗟𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 (hearing from the millions), and the role that @agoracitizen.network plays in helping people coordinate around shared futures.

Hey! We're building a Polis-inspired tool, @agoracitizen.network, that is zk compatible. We're moving Agora to AT Proto as part of our DDS initiative (Decentralized Deliberation Standard) - would love to collaborate!
DDS.xyz
if you're using something for free...
IT CAN GO AWAY.
the operator might be struggling, or not even interested really.
and if you're running free infra, add a payment tier!
make co-ops, run community infra together.
but learn from the past: magical thinking does not make a healthy atmosphere.
The future is not something we predict. It’s something we co-create! 🖖
I just published a personal write-up sharing reflections from an event we co-organized in Paris with friends from @radxchange.bsky.social.

Launching 𝗩𝗢𝗫𝗜𝗧 𝗘𝗨: a new European initiative to develop deliberative tools that help communities build consensus across Europe and beyond. I’m proud that our little startup
@agoracitizen.network stands alongside institutional teams!
Man O To (You and Me), a song adapted from the 13th century Persian poet Rumi. It's about when the boundaries between “I” and “you” vanish, when subject and object are no longer separate, when existence is nothing but a single shared breath.

It made our day to hear the following quote: "Agora made the event feel lively and interactive, while the live analytics allowed trends to emerge clearly. It really brought the conversation to life and fostered a collaborative and inclusive atmosphere."
The vibe at @4seasDeSoc: "DAO - the hearth and home of the ten thousand things. Good souls treasure it, lost souls find shelter in it." - Daodejing, chapter 62
With @nicobao.dev at Eth Chiangmai
This will unlock topic and subtopic clustering, perfect for advanced analysis and large-scale public consultations.
Give it a try and let us know what you think!
NEW FEATURE: Export is live!
You can now export any conversation directly from Agora. Click the three-dot menu on the top right of a conversation to download a CSV file containing all opinions, votes, and comments.
The export format is compatible with Sensemaker by Jigsaw.
What if technologies didn't divide us but helped us understand each other better?
This Thursday at 4pm CET, our peacebuilder friends at
ConnexUs and Search For Common Ground are hosting a webinar on deliberative tech - @agoracitizen.network will be in action!

Can we agree anymore?
Excited to be a speaker at d/acc Day, DevConnect on Nov 19 and share some learnings about Finding Common Ground at Scale!

Hot take: If schools around the world stopped teaching history and instead taught empathy, learning to think in someone else’s shoes, perhaps through role-play and case studies, the world would be a much better place.
We’re excited to launch this collective sense-making project with Devconnect to gather your perspectives on key themes at next week’s event - from Ethereum’s direction, its role in LATAM, to d/acc, future cities, and more.

We will be using @agoracitizen.network (simple, open-source deliberation tool for large-scale, data-driven dialogue) at @devcon.org this year. If you have a ticket - it would be great to give it a try proving your ticket via (the new) Zupass integration there

LIVE🔴#UNESCO is using Agora today as part of the Global Media and Information Literacy Week to engage its members in shaping its Action Plan through 2030!
Just 30 minutes in - and already 250+ votes cast by participants joining on-site and online.
When social frustration meets collective intelligence: During France’s #BloquonsTout strike, facilitation expert @apreslabiere.fr tested how citizens can turn anger into constructive dialogue with @agoracitizen.network.
✅ Main consensus: “The ultra-rich & multinationals must pay their fair share of taxes.”
⚡ Main disagreement: calls for institutional upheaval (removing elected officials, resignations).
This is the first of a series of case studies showing how Agora helps communities and organizations turn participation into actionable insight. Read the full results here: www.agoracitizen.network/blog/bloquon...

We're joining forces with ConnexUs, a global network of peacebuilders and changemakers! Huge thanks to the team at Search For Common Ground for making this happen!
It’s been a while since we shared updates… and we’ve been cooking! 🍳
Agora just got a whole lot more powerful (and usable). Our goal? To make constructive, large-scale dialogue not only possible but delightful.

The surprising downside is that some delegates started using Agora as a "propaganda tool" to persuade the swing delegates... For example, saying "you see, all others agreed on this idea so you should agree with us too!" [4/X]
The committees that used Agora came up with more similar clauses for resolution papers, compared to the ones that didn't. Delegates seemed to agree with each other more after using Agora. [2/X]
