1/2 After many months of contemplation, I finally braved the long bridle path into open country, one washed-out evening, late September. Between bare fields, across a small motorway & equestrian flats, my reward: a 'dirty' canal swan that hissed at me... #UKbirds #MEcfsEgress DailyNaturePics 369

2/2 - Literally rolling countryside, looking back up at the edge of the housing estate. - Soil to sky. - The sheep farm I shot before, in very grey twilight. - Finally the canal. Where I called it quits and made my way back up a country lane, carefully, in the dark. 1 hour total.

2/2 - Mexican sunflower, down the hill. - Sunflower, over in a part of town I'd not biked to before. - Verbena and... - Star dahlia, also in that same pastel evening light.

1/2 Oook, time for a quick bird break! Back in... July(?!)... I finally caught a shot of a magpie looking somewhat respectable, on our scorched lawn. #UKbirds #MEcfsEgress DailyNaturePics 366

1/5 I made it to one full year's worth of 'daily' nature photos! Albeit posted over the course of 18 months (busy times). Here's a colourful selection left over from the last 6 months, starting with this September's Damask Rose... #BloomScrolling #MEcfsEgress DailyNaturePics 365

2/5 August: - Next door's vividly red hydrangea. - Our side-of-house blue hydrangea. July: - Marigolds, in a hanging basket, out back. - Rose twinspur, out and about....

3/5 June: - Red hot poker, found several closer to home, this year. - Woodland sage, corner house side garden. - African daisy, in the back-yard heat. - Seaside daisies, across the estate...

1/2 One bee, two bees, three bees, floor... I've been almost as busy as these overworked bees from July & August. But I'm determined to find a bit of time to post a few more shots! #MEcfsEgress DailyNaturePics 364

1/3 I've been basically stable for many months (yay)... Until yesterday, when starting to collect samples for £1500 of home testing, I've been saving up all year. Got dietary reaction I think (boo). Rescheduled the two biggies due today; wrecked (sigh). Amatica and Theriome…

2/3 Hoping 'just' food intolerance. But the primary candidate is (goat) milk. Would be a big loss, nutritionally, having only had it back a year. Have had minor eustachian/nasal congestion with right ear tinnitus, for month. Maybe rains have revived background mold/mycotoxins levels, too?

3/3 Frustrating, feel like I may have missed the boat (yet again). Oligoscan is difficult to schedule; last week practitioner could come here fell through. Racing towards Christmas again. Tied up with chores. Will need miracle to make contaminated loft habitable for me.🙄 /moan

1/2 "Outside inside": - Shield beetle, exploring an excessively long succulent stem. - Speckled wood butterfly, kitchen window. - 'Fairies' kept appearing on this one spot in the hallway..! DailyNaturePics 362

2/2 - Grass moth, loads of these flying up from the lawn after it finally rained here properly. - Carpet moth, in the paper recycling bag. - Plume moth, on the dish cloth. - Speckled bush-cricket, on the kitchen island. (Mostly phone pics, for a change.)

1/2 Saturday #Caturday! My feline photo of the month is a tie between this deadly floof, hunting by the drainage ponds, and our old panther, Missy. Also.. #MEcfsEgress DailyNaturePics 361

I spotted the tiny goldcrest again, this time dry, and intent upon the underside of this cedar tree branch. Beyond the end of our garden. #UKbirds #MEcfsEgress DailyNaturePics 358

1/2 My prettiest white flower photos, left on the shelf from June, back through to April (below): - Tea roses (other side of estate). - Peony (back garden tub). - Poppy (corner house garden)... #BloomScrolling #MEcfsEgress DailyNaturePics 357

1/2 Excited to see an adult fox strolling the back garden, one morning before bed, I fumbled my camera into full auto. So the shutter speed was too slow, but you get the feel. Another night, had a fox cub come right down to within meters. #UKwildlife #MEcfsEgress DailyNaturePics 357

Holly Hock (Alcea setosa) are probably the flowers I will most associate with this summer of gentle evening rides around our end of town. Now gangly, grown way over head-height. Here's some back in late June, when they were more compact. #UKbirds #MEcfsEgress DailyNaturePics 356

1/2 On first sight, I thought Mum had bought some new ornament! A baby pigeon had dropped out of our ghost willow tree, a little early. Just sat waiting as I walked right up on it... #UKbirds #MEcfsEgress DailyNaturePics 355

2/2 Eventually, it's little brain booted up and it flew away onto our fence. Keeping an eye on it, the parents came back later and I think lured it back up with cooing. Oddly hairy with face and other feathers still growing in.

I got close to these cows and calves, as they slowly circled up to the corner of a field, where I lingered, at the edge of my biking range. #MEcfsEgress DailyNaturePics 354

2/2 Various locations, out on short bike rides in the late evening sun. - Broad leaved Lavender (above, too), a big plant with many fronds and a whole lot of bees! - Cotoneaster (I think). - English lavender (corner garden, up the road).

1/2 I thought it a novelty to photograph some on an early walk, last year. Turns out we have Bridewort (Spiraea salicifolia) near the top of our garden, too! #Bloomscrolling #MEcfsEgress DailyNaturePics 350

2/2 - Full crop: I don't think I'd photographed a squirrel's iris before this. - "Hello darkness my old friend": in the shadow of the bird-feeder collar. - Sibling squabble, or consoling hug..?
