I read this book as an educator when a bunch of teachers were adding it to classes. At the end I was like “the whole book is basically ‘so yeah all these poors are at fault for their own situation except my grandma who is the magical exception’.” Couldn’t believe it got any other interpretation.

I wish more people who try out gambling knew that there are literal websites that can estimate the value of a given bet (they do have a "fair value") and what they often reveal is that even WITH a profit boost from one of the promotions on the big betting sites, the bets have negative value.
