I'm proud to manage my personal website's server myself. I learn a lot as I do the most basic things that always end up breaking some server config somewhere 😅. Fun times! Today I learned how to put up a maintenance page 🎉.

It's amazing seeing how much we have grown over the years. And I feel like we are only just beginning!

I recorded my Laracon US talk today. A 5 minute video and it took me from 1pm until 8pm with two breaks between to get it done 😬. And I’m still not happy with it. The words lost all the meaning and I could hardly say my own name at the end 😅. Tell me I’m not the only one struggling with recording 🥹.

I have just caught up with all @larabelles.com emails and urgent to-dos, and it feels wonderful! I mean, the to-do list is still very long, but I feel like I've made progress, and I'll definitely sleep better tonight. Feeling good - at least until tomorrow morning 😅.

You know how they say “Never meet you heroes”? Well, I met one of mine today and it was great! I met Professor Sue Black, whose story has inspired me from early on in my tech career. And I’m grateful I had the chance to tell her that in person 🫶🏻.
