Trump hiding with the food while offering his unknowing staff and press as decoys to be attacked is great symbolism of trusting Trump

probably jd vance

Snack Force One

They’ll be at work bright early tomorrow I suppose, but *I* would feel a certain way about this! Lolol

There probably isn't a conversation held on that Qatar plane that isn't being listened to by every intelligence agency in the Middle East

In this Ohio diner the coffee is served hot, pancakes are preferred over those foreign Belgian waffles, and some folks just aren’t sure if it’s ok to use a plane full of journalists as a decoy to be exploded

The plane didn't stink and no one on the plane put two and two together?

TACO!

Carlos Ghosn should probably get a fee.

Somebody with balls

The catering truck person

Probably a staffer who was stuck on the decoy flight didn't like being used as a target.

I just have this image of them luring him onto the catering truck with a trail of hamburgers

So he used the press as a human shield. The Republican Party is a terrorist organization.

From a Bunker Boy to a Trucker Boy.

And we're gonna get to spend EVEN more of our tax dollars upgrading his grift jet yet again. It's almost as if the people saying accepting the jet was a bad idea from a security standpoint were right...

it was probably his idea and it isn’t a new one at that. he’s probably been going on about it for some time now and they indulged the petulance just to get him to shut up.

yes but no other president was deemed worthy of such a getaway

You didn't game this out enough. Because if the SS thought it's a serious threat on AF1, why then not ground the planes? Or hide him on an earlier flight out? Why show him going on board? To make it a deliberate act of baiting the Iranians into shooting the place so the bombs can get launched.

Was it a TACO truck? Since it is Turkey, it might have been a kebab truck. Irrespective, glad the President made it out safely.

Well at least Marco Rubio likely got some sleep with him not there

I had to do it to em

He slunk out!

And all those journalists and staff he setup to possibly be blown out of the sky will not even come to a realization about what that means

Omg. The skits on SNL write themselves.

👇

And none of them will give a shit. Access over their lives.

That's some Taylor Swift level of sneaking around.

Someone had sense, then. Me, I'd never risk anyone knowing exactly which aircraft the President was on (except maybe the people actually on that aircraft, after they couldn't communicate that to anyone outside the aircraft).

Imagine being used by your boss as a decoy in an assassination plot. Suckers & losers, every last one of them.

leaving everyone on the 'decoy' plane at risk?? typical Trump - cowardly bully - thinking only of himself...

Grandpa thought he was in a movie.

Trump is starting to worry that Iran is going to bomb him personally.

They're huge...obviously. 👇

Diaper changed before and after transit

They are huge ... obviously. 👇

i dont believe these particular journalists are that principled. if anything they will find and reveal the leaker in exchange for continued access

if there was a concrete threat they would ground all the planes until it was safe

If there was a legitimate the threat to the President, then the fact that he was willing to use a bunch of reporters and staff members as a decoy to ensure his own personal safety makes him seem pretty scummy. Almost like he cares about nobody but himself…

Thanks for the warning.

You'd think they'd notice the lack of smell

What a weasily little scared ass baby man.

This is a knee slapper of a story AND TIL "epistemic destruction". It's a good night, overall.

The president was aboard Air Force One? That's a given surely as that callsign can only be given to a plane on which the US President is onboard

I so want to believe that your reporting is sound so I can feel the appropriate outrage at the alleged acts. But you work for WAPO, and Jeff has sold your credibility.

The Taylor Swift catering cart.

Coward

Flight was serving chicken.
