Rep K: the irony of all of this is a five time draft dodging liar, a failed NG officer and a junior enlisted PR marine (Trump, Hegseth and vance) are vomiting their lies to America. Roughly 3%of Americans serve or have served and these pathetic losers seem to think they know better.

Sir, please address the pay disparity between their civilian pay and military pay. Members of the reserve/guard are not earning anything close to what they are paid in the civilian world. Not only do they miss life events , they can lose everything if they miss civilian paychecks for too long

Adam, the Navy has a long-standing serious problem of absuing their crews with overwork. Mr. Nichols, the Navy professor, he heard it from a generation of officer students. Then layer unending wartime duty on top of that. The Navy needs a rotation, yes, but it would be only a beginning.

The Guard and Reserves are the very reason we can function with a less expensive All Volunteer Standing Military. And, I suspect, the current administration would like to end that. Military service will be the ONLY job in the future... to serve the oligarchs will be how the servant class will live.
