Clearly from the sonicware liven series which one is this? 😍

Found it! And it’s way cheaper than the Twisted Electrons Mega FM I was eyeing up before.

Give me dat shinobi!

Yes indeedy! That's the Mega Synthesis, does a real nice job of emulating the YM2612 from the Mega Drive/Genesis. Usually I don't much like groovebox type setups but I loooove this one. Plus, Yuzo Koshiro patches!

omg this is sick. gotta try this with the sampler i have!

Totally recommended! A weeeee bit fiddly to set up but holy shit the possibilities are endless

Oh yeah, I recognize clips from Ninja Scroll ANYWHERE.

A true connoisseur! I've watched it MULTIPLE times the past couple of months.

I watched it ALL the time as a teenager. Still one of my most remembered anime films of all time.

Love it! Brings a whole new meaning to syncing music with visuals 😄

I found my old ninja scroll VHS yesterday, but I don't think my player works anymore - I should try it sometime. Also, I should show you my midi controlled video synth. Can trigger videos, photos, Conway's game of life, fungus simulation, random shapes, guitar hero mode and a whole lot more.

Ok this is trippy af, well done!

agghhhhh so sick

Somebody somewhere needs to do an album of Genesis (the band) covers using Genesis (the video game system) sounds.

Very cool 😎

Sick as hell 💙

Yoooo thank you! Haha my brain is reeling at the possibilities

Can't wait to see what you manage to do with it!

That little synthesizer is really neat, it emulates the YM2612 chip from the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis And I've also got it buttoned up so that every note played sends a MIDI signal which triggers a different video. So cool!

This is just a trial run to see if I could get it going - planning on doing some exciting live stuff with this and my own visuals 😍

Oh shit, are we getting another Black Tie Blowout? 🤩

Oh if anyone's curious, that little synthesizer/groovebox is the Sonicware LIVEN Mega Synthesis It's not a format I usually gel with but this thing *rules* Plus, Yuzo Koshiro patches, baby! sonicware.jp/pages/liven-...

Yoo one of my favorite Genny games, sick tunes, and my favorite anime? This is dope. \m/

Goddamn that's cool

Aw helllll yes Shinobi!

I have been in suuuuuch a Shinobi mood recently!

Always a great mood tbh. That series has had a grip on me since I was conscious haha

I'm always down for some megadrive sounding music!!
