Turning the White House South Lawn into a UFC venue is a historic low for presidential decorum, but watching the whole spectacle get derailed by a biblical combination of 100+ degree humidity, apocalyptic thunderstorms, and massive swarms of bugs would definitely be poetic justice.

There is a whole lot more going on beyond the decorum. Please check out the thread below. bsky.app/profile/kari...

NYT coverage of this has been passive, vapid and lacking any depth. I've been on this beat for 12 years while NYT doesn't even cover MMA. If you want to understand how this event came to be, why it's happening, & what it means moving forward, subscribe to Sportrs Politika: www.sportspolitika.news

That would be just lovely. We are experiencing bad storms where I live today, why can't I share that with Mr. Trump, Sir? Also, may the winds not just delay it, but tear the whole thing off to land on where Trump is seated. Amen.

". . . watching the whole spectacle get derailed by a biblical combination of 100+ degree humidity, apocalyptic thunderstorms, and massive swarms of bugs would definitely be poetic justice." Pharaonic justice, even.

Watching the College World Series in absolutely gorgeous Omaha and World Cup action. Couldn’t be further away from watching the sh*t show at the White House (now minus entire East Wing.)

Latest from NWS 'area forecast discussion" (AFD) "For the DC/Baltimore metros, the highest coverage of storms is expected to occur in the 5-10 PM window, although a stray storm can`t be completely ruled out before..." They should cancel the event now. Amazed if UFC insurance doesn't insist.

A Trump-specific DC forecast calls for Stormy Daniels followed by a Torrential Reign, 0% Humility, 100% Stupidity, Breaking Winds, Massive Instability, and Bouts of Hail Hitler on the White House Lawn. Trump will need his wind-shield diapers for this one.

Karma doesn't like liars, grifters, thieves, mean hateful people, and people that were friends with Epstein. Karma never forgets and the thunder and lightning is God's way of reminding us that actions have consequences.
