What are some accessible Infosec & Opsec resources that activists, journalists, and organizers can turn to in preparation for the Trump admin? Preparing for a fascist regime can feel scary and paralyzing. This seems like an area where people can take control w/ concrete steps. Please share below 👇🏽

I’m a proud board member of EFF, specifically because they do vital work protecting activists from digital surveillance. So, I’ll match up to $5000 of your donations to enable that work; I’m especially focused on helping those who enable access to reproductive healthcare: www.eff.org/repro-privacy

Well, FUCK. I bookmarked Amazon Smile so that I always credited my orders through it - and NEVER EVEN NOTICED THAT IT WENT AWAY. I won't even START on my rant about self-loathing for giving money to Jeff Bezos because I'm sure you're a nice person and I don't want to do that to you.

Mini-rant - the Affordable Housing they tout is a 404 page, and that's one of the things that I would want the most of my money to go to. The other sites work, but until I see some ACTUAL coverage of what they're supposedly doing - I CALL BULLSHIT. Because I'm bitter and full of spite.

The EFF's Cover Your Tracks tool has been a game changer for me, I've been sharing it around as much as possible. Thank you and the EFF for everything you do.

They still do a lot of good work, but that’s not something I’m able to easily look past. Creating a false equivalence between deplatforming marginalized people and deplatforming those who are antagonizing marginalized people is the opposite of what I thought the EFF stood for.

Yeah I have complex feelings on this. I think there’s a principled conversation about what layers of the stack should have which forms of accountability. (And this comes up in my day job too.) What I’ve seen inside is thoughtful principle, especially around skepticism of governments right now.

I think a lot of trans people and those who love them are largely sympathetic to the ideals of the EFF, but see that their trust was betrayed in this case. Is there anybody trying to find out what went wrong here and to come up with answers to where to draw that line?
