If you are a person who works in social media, and your job requires you to manage an account on Twitter/X, please ask your boss, in writing, to verify that you are required as a responsibility of your position to be on a platform that knowingly creates and monetizes child sexual abuse material …

To which the boss will reply "you knew the job required using X when you accepted it". If I pushed, he would (in HR-friendly words) say "you can do your job, quit, or get fired. Let me know which one you want". Best possible outcome? Your boss thinks you're a drama queen.

X didn’t host CSAM when the job started. They’re still liable for making you be exposed to it.

Can you point to a successful civil suit that claimed that? The *internet* hosts CSAM, but if I asked my boss to sign a document admitting I might run into it while using the Internet for my job I'd be lucky of he only laughed in my face.

You’re fighting pretty hard against a tactic that works, though. How is that materially different? It only discourages people from trying, makes it seem hopeless, undermines actual successful efforts… you could be pushing people to *take action*! Pick up a shovel!
