Holy crap, I'd forgotten how much of a gong show that year's election was! And there was Brian Bowman, just quietly standing there knowing he was probably going to win and continue to be boringly competent.

I mean it's weirdly comforting that there are Strange Men running for mayor everywhere

lmao its like they were not remotely aware of what was happening and the first few candidates were blindsided

I'm not saying he would have been good for the city but part of me wanted Ed Ackerman to win just to watch him try to shut down the Panama canal with all the authority of Mayor of Winnipeg behind him.
