I really hate sketching digitally, but I also hate refining my sketches on paper because I end up erasing a hole through the page or dragging graphite dust everywhere with my gross sweaty hands which is why I ended up with my convoluted sketch-scan-refine-print-trace-ink-scan-clean process

Honestly i never thought about scanning a sketch, refining it, printing it out, then lining it. Huh...thats like not a bad a idea at all.

Some of my sketches have gone through multiple iterations of sketch -> scan -> print -> modify via sketching -> scan -> print -> modify.... I dunno if it's a "good" process, but it's mine. 🤣😭

lol I my process in college was: sketch in red, scan, print a copy, ink, scan, select the pencils with colour select tools, remove,

This, as well as the original post is what I do most the time. For complex stuff it's switched again, then the first or 2nd rough is digital. Inking digitally makes me mad. What about a lightbox? They're insanely cheap nowadays

i really need to replace my old shitty lightbox. gotta constantly jiggle the usb cable this way and that to keep it on
