David Muir, too? None of these anchors can hold a candle to Scoot Pelley, who during Drumpf’s first reign of terror called out his lies by using the actual word “lies”. He was silenced by CBS for months. Then demoted to 60 minutes, all for calling it like it is and behaving like a good journalist.

I expected people to be passive - we watched them roll over for Bush II, much of which was questionable, so I wasn't anticipating many people proactively fighting, but I'm still astounded at how many people choose abject cowardice when they are faced directly with fascism.

That said, I am impressed with number of ordinary people who are taking stands. Everyone has to make decision now on what they have to do to stay alive versus what they can live with.

The other day, Jake Tapper interviewed AOC & it sounded like she was on Fox. He was 2 seconds from questioning her intellect. He was condescending & tried to paint her as a hypocrite. I’m not surprised. CNN in general has been watering down content & withholding info on constitutional conflicts.

I was watching NBC when the astronauts returned, and they said the capsule splashed down in the "Gulf of America." It's really dangerous when that nonsense starts to be adopted into common parlance. It's a slippery slope.

Small acts of cowardice and submission are NOT trivial. They are as dangerous as larger capitulations because they insinuate themselves into the wider environment, creating a cumulative affect that builds into larger 'blood clots' of destructive example.

Canadian haven't had any use for Jake Tapper since he outright lied on TV about when Canada would have Covid vaccines. He said he knew what he was talking about because he had family in Manitoba, where I live and already had word on when we'd have our vaccines.

They are anchormen, not journalists. They are puppets placed in front of a camera to read what someone else wrote or what their corporate overlords dictated. You do real journalists a disservice by conflating the two.
