He doesn't believe what he's preaching.

Sadly Johnson is emblematic of most (but certainly not all) Christians today in that the ends justify the means. In other words, Lies for Jesus!

My conclusion is it's a variation of this: "Lying for God" They tell themselves that they're on some righteous path where the ends justify the means. This path they've chosen is filled with difficult choices but all is fair in a holy war. this ^ is the running narrative in their head

His faith is as fake as his politics. Power is his god.

I suspect that his "faith" is about as Christian as Trump's. "Christian" covers a wide range of beliefs, from those of which Jesus would approve, to those which he would condemn. Johnson's fall into the latter category.

They are implementing project 2025. They have no intention of acknowledging Dems or even public outrage. They believe they have a mandate, and will continue doing what they want until the rage boils over. That’s what they want. War. They hope to vanquish any dissent. They’re wrong of course.

The more I observe his conduct, the more I think there may be truth to assertions he is a deeply closeted gay man. If so, I don’t hold that against him at all, but it would accord with the impression that - having had to live a lie all his life - adding more lies to the pile is all too easy.

Before he was speaker, was he like this? He always says that if you want to know what he believes in, all you have to do is read the Bible. I admit that it's been a long time since I read it, but I don't remember it saying anything about lies, fraud, anti-immigrants, taking from the poor, etc.
