I'm done with sanders. He has no spine. He should be calling for Trump's removal by any means necessary. What he, and others are doing is the equivalent to "please Mr Hitler, you already invaded Poland. Will you stop please?" It's pathetic.

There is no meaningful difference between the anti-AI crowd and the MAGA crowd in terms of group dynamics, cultlike thinking, persecution of a scapegoat as a proxy for being disgruntled by modern society, etc.

youtubers, streamers, podcasters, etc are always on this beat bc they don't know how anything works & know that if they say something like this, their audiences will lap it up now & also 3 years later when they point to total gay commie revolution not happening and go "see? i was right!"

The USA has spent $13b aiding Israel's genocide of Palestinians, as of 28 May 2025. In that time, we spent LESS money on federal aid for our own education system. Which is more important, benefitting our children or killing Arab children?

The Liberals and Conservatives teamed up again today — funny how that keeps happening — to get Bill C-39 over the hurdle of its first vote. The massive, 243-page bill bulldozes environmental protections, Indigenous rights and attacks the right to strike. Here's what this means:

Every major tech shift….synthesizers, digital cameras, Photoshop, procedural generation…got the exact same "death of real art" moral panic. Low effort slop deserves criticism, but treating GenAI as inherently radioactive just ignores how tools actually evolve in production.

Michael Kotlikoff, president of Cornell University. He punished the Cornell 7 rapists by making them write an essay. This is the same man who backed his car into Gaza protesters and then claimed he was the victim. His contact information is listed below.

The recent PR push about AI having developed sci-fi dangerous abilities seemed to be largely bullshit, and now that's confirmed when the Anthropic "whistleblower", Jacob Coxon, is booked for an event with Steve Bannon (and Bernie Sanders). Coxon hit all the big news shows but was not credible. 1/

On the left: Oliver North, convicted for his role in illegally selling missiles to Iran during the Reagan administration. On the right: Fox News “military analyst” Oliver North, who thinks Iran shouldn’t have missiles. Same guy. Same Oliver North.

If you don't have an definitive answer to this you have zero morals and only pretend to want change, which would make you an enemy of the people. How long without change or what action/inaction by the Democrats would make you be done with them? If you don't have a line you don't actually care.

A new study shows that Medicare for All would save over 114,000 lives and over $1 trillion every year. The new research out of Yale shows that reductions in administrative overhead, lower pharmaceutical prices, less fraudulent billing, and fewer emergency care trips would lead to huge savings. /1

AIPAC may have bought our election in Illinois, but we're not going to let that happen in Michigan. 5 days left to make them panic. Vote for Abdul on or before August 4th.

Congresswoman Stevens just last week voted to send $3.3 billion of your tax dollars to a foreign government. That is the pro quo that comes with a quid of $30 million spent by AIPAC to boost her campaign.

The KIDS Act is not just some benign form of digital “carding.” If passed, the bouncer at the door is an online entity capturing and storing personal data from users who simply want to access legal, First Amendment-protected content on the internet, EFF’s @irmck.bsky.social wrote for @coindesk.com.

A very well written article. Makes a very good argument against irrational fears and directs the problems with society and technology, when they happen, to where it belongs. The capitalist class .

PARAMOUNT/WARNER BROS UPDATE: Yesterday, we sued to stop the largest merger in Hollywood history. Now, we're filing an emergency motion to immediately block the acquisition while we continue our case. We cannot let one billionaire control one-third of cable programming and theatrical distribution.
