Sen. Kevin Cramer: "I'm not a constitutional expert. I'm just a senator from North Dakota."

You're not a constitutional expert, but you *do* know how to read, don't you? Because the language of the war powers act is so plain, even a simple senator from North Dakota should be able to understand and comply with it.

So he’s intentionally claiming ignorance and incompetence with no interest in learning or getting an opinion. Why is he there? Shouldn’t due diligence to have a f’n opinion esp in national security matters be imperative?

When the book on the fall of the American empire is written, this quote should be included. When did it become standard operating procedure to elect people to the federal government that don't know the first thing about it?

If you're not a republican and trying to imagine what it's like to be a republican, specifically why they do and say what they do - don't. No sane decent person has the clusterfuck of deranged stupidity raging inside their head to be able to accurately imagine what it's like to be a republican.

They want to try, but they don’t have the brainpower or logistical ability, that’s why they’ve been blown out in nearly every election for the last year and a half. Musk tried to pull the same bullshit he did in PA in WI and lost by 10pts. Minneapolis held elections during the ICE invasion.

Just a senator who doesn’t seem to know that he swore an oath to defend the constitution. Be helpful if he’d read it.

Who on earth elected this Hick from the Sticks to be a Senator? He doesn’t know anything. And what did He think a Senator does, organise weekly rubbish collections? The quality of US politicians is appalling. Seems they’re either liars, thieves or just plain ignorant! America’s fucked.

"Knowing the Constitution isn't my job! It's just...my job!" Or "I'm not a Senator, I just play one on t.v. And in the Senate."

At a bare minimum you are a US senator and it IS in your job description to know what the constitution means and how it works. This "don't ask me I only work here" bullshit is as weak as can be.

Are we all calling Kevin Cramer's office to ask him to step down? Imagine going to hospital for open heart surgery and having the guy in the white coat saying " I am not a heart surgery expert, I'm just a doctor from North Dakota".

Senator Kramer gets between 3.2 and $4 million per year to hire staff and run his offices. It seems he could hire somebody to feed him talking points about the constitution if he’s too ignorant to learn about it himself.
