Trump’s audience uncomfortably laughs as he makes a premature announcement that ranchers can now kill wolves who are on the endangered species list

🇨🇦🇺🇦Maybe Ranchers can fork out the dough for electric fencing or maybe they shouldn’t let their pets or dogs out unattended. Geez, what a concept. Bottom line is we have an over-population of human beings and the Mexican Grey wolf is an endangered species. Big frigging difference.

Just yesterday, I commented under a clip of Trump along the lines of someone please explain to him the simple rule of unbuttoning your suit jacket when sitting down. Expecting these people to know basic rules and/or etiquette is naive, really.

I'm in Arizona. We don't carry guns because of the wolves (who are all collared and tagged and tracked)....I adore the wolves. It's because of the mountain lions, and bears, and the humans you can run into in the woods. Thank God we hunt for our meat instead of buying american beef.

There are estimated to be less than 350 Mexican gray wolves in the entire US and less than 150 in Arizona and attacks on humans are vanishingly rare so fuque every single person in that room.

He’s very good at destroying things. Animals lives, peoples lives, the economy, democracy, the environment. The only thing this POS cares about is himself. There is not one iota of goodness in this man. Not one.

Yes, I absolutely believe that the 319 Mexican Grey Wolves* currently alive in the US are causing "10s of billions of dollars worth of damages" * source Wolf Conservation Center

"...they're eating the cats, they're eating the dogs!!!" Where is JD? Hundreds of millions of $$--how much does Trump think cattle sell for, on the hoof? I would like to see documentation of Mexican Gray Wolves attacking people. It doesn't exist.

Trump was talking of the value of all the cattle killed by the Mexican Gray Wolf. Ranchers don't get those kind of prices for range-fed steers. Wolves would usually bring down the young or the injured. I don't think Trump's estimate was even close. I'm in WY--maybe Midwest is different re: prices.

They cut millions of dollars in grants to the Jane Goodall Institute. That tells you everything you need to know about their policies regarding animal welfare.

I’ve watched this clip several times. It’s just crazy to see how policy is formulated. An ally of Trump complains about something and Trump just conjures up a remedy and next it’s policy. No thought. No research. No analysis. It’s really crazy
