Ossoff: "When the congressman voted for this Medicaid cuts, the largest in history, he knew that 50% of all births in our state are covered by Medicaid. He still voted for them. And as a result, a labor and delivery unit in his own district had to shut down. He also supports a total ban on abortion"

Healthcare should never become a political bargaining chip when people’s lives are at stake. If half of Georgia’s births are covered by Medicaid, lawmakers should be thinking about how to protect mothers and babies, not making it harder for families to access essential care.

Collins voted for roughly $1.2 trillion in projected Medicaid cuts. Then a hospital in his own district closed its labor-and-delivery unit, saying those cuts “solidified” the decision. Medicaid covers more than half of births in rural Georgia. This isn’t a hypothetical policy debate anymore.

I hope regular GOP people who don't like their candidate stay home and don't vote. If they can't vote for a Dem, the least they can do is not help criminals win. I gave up all hope on remaining MAGA long ago.

It's actually useful for Ossoff to keep pounding Collins into a bloody pulp even though the race is effectively over, because if it convinces casual GOP voters there's no point in even showing up on election day it could help Bottoms in the governor's race.

Few things have given me more pleasure recently, as #SenOssoff skewering #MikeCollins. Ossoff will deliver the Coup de Grâce on Election Day

Btw, Canada's overall maternal mortality ratio is lower than that of the U.S., sitting at approximately 12 deaths per 100,000 live births (roughly half the national average of the U.S.). Deaths from ectopic pregnancies are exceptionally rare. Abortion care is healthcare 🇨🇦

Uh Collins doesn't know what Medicaid expansion is does he? He seems to think it's related to the extended ACA subsidies?
