So happy I managed to have my 50+ trips during the Obama years. Only one trip under Trump's first, and I never before had such a hard time at the immigration, even though I am paperwhite and had a solid, work- and training based history for all my former trips. That was my last US trip. Ever, maybe.

I used to be a massive fan of the US, having lived there for 3 years. My family and I were regular visitors after that. Now you couldn't pay us enough money to go. Sad.

I don't visit red states. I know it's not every citizen's fault, but if they are electing Greg Abbott, DeSantis, Kim Reynolds (hey, Iowa's close by and there's a lot to see, so I used to), I don't vacation there. I do send very small contributions to progressive candidates in those states.

I hate to see the American people suffer but at least 34% of them deserve it .. who the lord would support such a con man all the way to the highest office .

Tourism thrives when visitors feel welcome, not interrogated, threatened or treated like criminals. America’s reputation is taking a beating. You can’t sell the American dream to the world while treating foreign visitors like enemies. Fear isn’t hospitality, and cruelty isn’t a tourism strategy.

My personal decisions regarding my travelling plans suggest the exactly same. There are ways to avoid entering the USA when visiting other countries on the American continents. Why would I? Not as long as this criminal government is in place. Greetings from Switzerland.
