Maybe that's not a "very action" game, so the following recommendation is not what matters but do you mind adding more obvious enemy attack sign? Like outline or so

You're right of course. I need to test it visually. Still, it's quite important that the player knows when they're going to get hit. Enemy sprites will usually only be left/right so indicating their direction in combat feels like a good idea. (It will be customizable in options too :D )
