The evidence for misconduct was right there in the emails. Trivial to prove. That provided the justification to arrest him and search his properties and devices. Proving his sex crimes is harder, but hopefully they'll find what they need to nail him on those too.

Also, misconduct in public office is punishable with up to a life sentence. It's not a financial crime, though he'll surely get charged with those too. It's betrayal of public trust, and a hugely serious crime.

Because Trump has control of all branches of government, including he judiciary and DOJ. Though there are many judges who have found against him, any sort of warrant for arrest has to come from the DOJ and Pam Bondi is protecting him - she was the AG in Florida when Epstein committed his crimes.
