It's a solid electoral victory, but not a landslide EC victory. We've seen multiple elections with a candidate getting to 400+ in the EC.

Every election since 2000 the total vote count goes up millions every year... w/one exception… in 2008, Obama got more votes than he did in 2012… 2016 was a low turnout w/HRC & Trump, but still went up 2 million… 2020 was 155.5 million… the total vote count seems low… 2024 should've been a record...

It made me feel better to realize there are actually 345 million people in the country and only 250 million are registered voters of which only 150 million voted. So actually only 25% of the country voted for this. Still disappointing but it does give me hope for 2026 and 2028.

Where did all of the mail in ballots go? Past elections, it took days after polls closed to count all of the ex pat ballots. But this time, for reasons unknown, the winner was declared as polls closed.

No it’s no landslide, but it doesn’t have to be. Trump still won the popular vote and the electoral vote. This was less due to the success of the Trump campaign and more to the failure of the Harris campaign to resonate with many Americans. This was the dems election to lose and we did.
