And now we have the best government money can buy!

🚨 Elon Musk has now poured more than $735 million into American elections since 2024. That’s more than George Soros has given to federal elections in his entire life. Musk spent years telling his followers that Soros was buying American democracy. Then he went out and outspent him. @micaherfan.com

Forgotten Anniversary: Oct 26, 1882, US sailors burned what was left of homes, food caches and canoes after shelling Angoon, a village of 420 Tlingit in southeast Alaska. Conditions grew so dire in the following months that elders sacrificed their own lives to spare food for surviving children.

I'm not gung ho for exacting revenge, but if the mob took over your town and appointed a bunch of officials and you finally got rid of the mob, wouldn't getting rid of their appointees be the first order of business?

Our police departments should be protecting us from ICE. Who's running that show in your town?

Outspoken™️@out5p0ken.bsky.social

Lorenzo Salgado Araujo was driving his construction crew to work when an ICE officer shot and killed him in Houston. He wasn’t even the person ICE was looking for. Now Texas voters are leaving their “I Voted” stickers at his memorial. #BlueWaveIn10Days

Walmart has a story or two to tell. Look closely -what used to be "always low prices" morphed into the admonition to live better by saving money.

Nailed it.

The U.S. and Israeli militaries have developed specific plans for renewed strikes against Iran after the Nov. 3 midterm elections, according to U.S. officials. ...Gee, Wally, why do suppose they're waiting until after the Nov. 3 midterm elections?

Things Trump has Delayed Until AFTER THE MIDTERMS - Kicking millions off Medicare - sending private collection agencies after millions of student loan defaulters - stepping up in the intensity of his moronic war on Iran - releasing the report on the horrific Iran elementary school bombing (1/2)

Trump IS a Soviet asset, you know.

NEW: The order to throttle Starlink (Starshield) came from the White House to the Pentagon. I still think Elon was involved, though. He’s currently a Pentagon employee as well www.reuters.com/world/europe...

And a note for MSM: Corporate media journalists who fold and are complicit in spreading hateful lies, disinformation, and propaganda may end up like Julius Streicher, the prominent Nazi publisher hanged October 16, 1946, for crimes against humanity.

So you want to be a billionaire? Here's “Four Simple Steps to Becoming a Billionaire” by Johnny Debacle 1. Take outrageous risks with extremely high upside. 2. Be the 1 out of 500 million for whom it pans out. This one is key so focus on it. [FOCUS, PEOPLE!- ed.] [now the easy part...]

3. Attribute your wealth creation to your own hard work, your own genius and the power of your business plan. Be sure to stress how your wealth was singularly made possible by your unique endowment of elbow grease, street smarts, and common sense ...traits of course which your competitors

Can you imagine what it would be like to have a president that said whatever popped into his head? ...Well, now you don't have to.

Trump: "Does anybody want to see a great work of art, a great thing of beauty? The helipad. It's gotten unbelievable architecture reviews. But that's nothing compared to what's being built right there. The roof of the ballroom."

"Donald Trump has announced that he has, after an extensive and rigorous recruitment process, unilaterally named his son-in-law president of Ukraine. Jared Kushner’s appointment comes after Zelensky was critical of the oil deal Trump struck with Russia, bolstering Russia’s beleaguered economy."

Voters might actually hand the keys back to Democrats in a couple of weeks. Sadly, I suspect they've forgotten which end goes in the lock or even how to find the lock. The forecast is for a lot of blown opportunities and ferocious finger pointing.

Lost in the turmoil yesterday, I forgot to mention that it was also the anniversary of the nearly forgotten Peshtigo Fire. It occurred on October 8, 1871, and resulted in an estimated 1500 deaths when a rampaging forest fire incinerated the whole Wisconsin town.

In regard to the 2015 poll that less than half of Americans know dinosaurs died out many millions of years before we evolved (40% said they believe we coexisted, 16% "aren't sure"), it is still hard to wrap my head around how abysmally ignorant half of America is.

If the #AIpocalypse isn't too severe, there's probably a sizable market for pre-cut 'collateral damage' headstones.

Got a notice from Apple today that they are implementing more security due to the intrusion of Meta's A.I. agent. Maybe anticipating a war with the robots is off base. Perhaps it will be a war BETWEEN the robots, and we will just be collateral damage.

First they came for the journalists: October 7, 2006, Anna Politkovskaya, a Russian journalist, author, and advocate for human rights, was killed by gunshot in the elevator of her residential building in the heart of Moscow. That wasn't the beginning but it seems to have been the tipping point.

Big Oil's Dirty Little Secret #4 When diesel costs over 50¢ more than gas at the pump, it is almost entirely REFINING PROFIT caused by tight supply. $100/bbl crude constitutes about $2.40/gal for BOTH unleaded and diesel, only $1.20 over the pre-war $50/bbl price.

The moron we RE-elected. SMH. Time for another round of “IMAGINE HOW THEY’D REACT IF A DEMOCRAT HAD DONE THAT!”

Trump: "We've gonna shove it up their ass ... They are a bunch of dumb son of a bitches" Remember when presidents had dignity? Here's a lowlight supercut from Trump's rally tonight in Ohio:

Fraud! ...Yeah, so? Corruption! ...Yeah, so? Child rape! ...Yeah, so? Abductions and murders in broad daylight!! ...Yeah, so? Attempted overthrow of our government!!! ... Yeah, so? TREASON!!! ...Yeah, so? $6 a gallon for gas?!? ...OMG, I DIDN'T VOTE FOR THIS! Why didn't someone warn us!?

The Tennessee Holler @thetnholler.bsky.social

TRUMP VOTER: “Trump is a bald-faced liar. That's all I can say nicely… I was planning to retire, and I went back to work just to cover my insurance, my gas, and the price of food that keeps going up.”
