Can't wait to see dems all excited after the election only to realize they got 4 or 5 more John Fettermans

Not saying you shouldn't vote strategically or whatever, or that there's a zero sum game here. Just keep your hopes and expectations at bay. System's gonna do what it always does.

We have to vote. But we also have to realize that they're 100% going to completely ignore any outcome they don't like.

John Breaux? Ben Nelson? Joe Lieberman? Heidi Heitkamp? Kyrsten Sinema? Joe Manchin? Good times!

Lieberman and Nelson helped ensure the passage of the ACA. Net good! But they are a big reason why healthcare still sucks in this country. And both those losers retired before reelection anyway. Did it for the pure love of the game. Can't wait to see this generation's 2010 replay!

We need ranked choice voting yesterday.

I get what you’re saying but what else are people supposed to do, given the way the system is? One of these choices is definitely worse than the other

I don’t have an alternative, I’m afraid. Just a jaded socialist with too many battle scars and not enough hope.

I still vote fwiw, I just haven’t been happy about it in 15 or so years.

Yeah fair enough. Same boat here. I just get nervous about talking in a way that could be construed by some as an encouragement to not vote because of how it turned out last time
