Can't wait to see dems all excited after the election only to realize they got 4 or 5 more John Fettermans

John Breaux? Ben Nelson? Joe Lieberman? Heidi Heitkamp? Kyrsten Sinema? Joe Manchin? Good times!

Lieberman and Nelson helped ensure the passage of the ACA. Net good! But they are a big reason why healthcare still sucks in this country. And both those losers retired before reelection anyway. Did it for the pure love of the game. Can't wait to see this generation's 2010 replay!

Not saying you shouldn't vote strategically or whatever, or that there's a zero sum game here. Just keep your hopes and expectations at bay. System's gonna do what it always does.

Who is using container queries in their design system? At the component level and/or through extractions (tokens, component APIs, etc)?

Bluesky is like the 7th site using atproto they should encounter. Microblogging is not normal behavior. It is for sick people

not me researching compression technics and stumbling into you on the fractal forums like it's 2004 lol

Hard to say what is the worst UI regression in iOS 26 but this has to be near the top. Maddening.

I’ve never hated Apple Software so much as this release. Liquid Glass is bad enough but it’s little shit like this that makes me want to chuck my phone into a canyon.

I kinda miss cleaning the track ball housing in old computer mice. Very quick source of true satisfaction.

Here's my objectively correct take on lint rules: 1. If it isn't a runtime error, severity should be set to warning 2. Ensure lint scripts fail on warning 3. If it isn't a legit footgun, the rule is dumb 4. If you insist on dumb rules, they should be auto-fixable

Hello world. My name is Chance. I live in San Diego and sing songs about the duality of existence. Thanks for listening 🌃

I avoid deadlifts because I’m terrified of injuring my back. My lower back is weaker because I avoid deadlifts which makes it easier to injure my back. The cautious gym bro’s paradox.

I understand why it works this way, but TS project references requiring a build step is such a giant pain in the ass

My resolution is to give up on chasing trends and commit to a cut and fit for my jeans that follows me to the grave. Slimmish-boot cuts from here on out.

In celebration of keeping my 2025 fitness routine in tact all year, Bluesky gets one thirst trap to showcase said jeans.

Other resolutions include being more open about my bisexuality, so this thread is now a twofer.

Black Friday is a great opportunity to catch up on all the email lists from which you’ve forgotten to unsubscribe

Unlearning this may have been the single most liberating thing I’ve ever done. Huge quality-of-life hack.

So many men go through life like that. You can play poker because it's right-coded, you can't enjoy fruity alcoholic drinks because they're women-coded, you can't lick an ice cream cone because it's gay-coded. All day, every day, choosing and judging things based on coding for narrow norms.
