Ironically, Miller is the one with the third world vision since he wants corruption, authoritarianism, poverty, and lagging behind in science etc. Actually maybe forth world since there are third world countries with better governance than the US now.

He is correct, Trump Administration wants to move our Country backwards where we are reliant on fossil fuels and the Rich treating workers like second class citizens. Everyone else would like to move forward and leave the Trump Administration back in the 1930's

I would think too many Americans having a 'third world view of America' would be occasion to redirect some economic and junta-like policies so we don't feel like we're in the Third World trying to get groceries or medicine or housing or anything? Or, yaknow, worry about paramilitary ICE thugs?

The first-world countries I know value education and science and art and music and history. They keep their cities livable. They value their farmers and support them. They trust their citizens to do the right thing, and it shows: No ICE yet people live comfortably in France, Netherlands, Japan, UK.

The difference is by "third world" he means one where POC have rights, and by "first world" he means a white supremacist state.
