Monday was my last day at Vox Media which, after 14 years, feels wild to say out loud. But here I am! I'm looking for my next role, so if you think that may be with you please reach out! You can DM me here, or find me on LinkedIn, or email me (chrisgrant @ this domain).

I know it's a cliche to write "end of an era" but in this case I think it's most apt. Welcome back to the big 'ol outside world and looking forward to the launch of your home improvement YouTube channel

To pre-answer the "why are you leaving" crowd, I loved my time at Vox -- yes, even the hard times -- and I love working with the team(s) I leave behind, notably @theverge.com, but after some months of reflection I decided that I didn't belong at a Vox Media without Polygon.

after the sale i said on here that polygon was the closest thing secret base had to a sister site at the company, and you were a major reason why that was true. thank you for always being a champion of ours and all your colleagues!

Still think about you sticking up for me as a freelancer when I was getting harassment for a Polygon review. Thank you for everything that you did and best of luck to your future. Anybody would be lucky to have you.

thank you for giving me my first job out of college and then! being one of the best bosses I ever had. I'm really grateful for every chance you took on me. I loved learning from you, and whoever has that pleasure next is extremely lucky. so my shower won't stop leaking

send me a short vid of the leak, we can figure this out (AND ty for the kind words -- I remain grateful for all of your counsel and care over the years.)

well you see, many new smoke alarms have permanent 10-yr batteries, so the solution is to replace it. Your landlord should handle this for you, or offer reimbursement if you do it yourself. Grab the part number from the back, put it back in the freezer, and order one. Should be an easy swap!
