Wrote about GTA3, and how its world design has over time transformed from a believable open world to an eerie delight, something which still sets it apart as something special - just in a different way. Also, it's 25 years old today. How's your back?

As it turns 25, something about the accidentally eerie world of GTA3 is still unbeatable to Alex https://www.respec.net/feature/268-as-it-turns-25-something-about-accidentally-eerie-world-gta3-still-unbeatable-to-me

Just went to a retail GameStop for a piece of my son’s Halloween costume. If you’re young and wondered what the final days of Blockbuster looked like, you can get a taste of the experience right now at your local strip mall

I talk mostly about video games and music on here but our theatre company (Available Light Theatre) is opening the first show of our 20th Season here in central Ohio on Thursday (and our 18th season of Pay What You Want tickets - so $$$ is no barrier to art.) Bobrauschenbergamerica by Charles Mee

This is a great question, but I wish media columnists would stop falling into the "I've put more thought into this than people at the top." Corporate always puts thought into a move like this. Countless meetings. Fights between opposing internal sides. The trouble isn't the lack of thought.

Also, I think the goal is pretty clear: The Ringer is an influence business. They want the Kara Swisher of everything they cover. And to do that, they need Substack stories that CEOs can tell their assistants to print for their next flight. Bonus, Ringer retains talent.

The Saudi wealth fund's acquisition of EA appears to be an extremely expensive piece of the larger Saudi sports-washing initiative. If so, things will continue to get worse for everything outside of EA Sports.

Can confirm that this is a real trailer of the Mass Effect game that BioWare was developing up until its closure yesterday www.reddit.com/r/masseffect...

I had the chance to read this a few months ago and really enjoyed it! Definitely worth checking out!

I’m thrilled to announce Final Fantasy Resonance is terrific, and devastated to announce Vaan is one of the most useful visions in the game. Thanks to GI for letting me review it! ❤️❤️❤️

Game Informer@gameinformer.com

It may have one foot planted in the series' history, but in a time when mainline Final Fantasy is still figuring itself out, Final Fantasy Resonance is easy to recommend. Our review: gameinformer.com/review/final...

Umurangi Generation captured the collective angst of successive generations inheriting a broken world prepared for them like a shit sandwich. Here's my story for Remap about the developer's follow-up, Penguin Colony https://remapradio.com/articles/penguin-colony-wants-the-world-to-open-its-eyes/

remapradio.comPenguin Colony Wants the World to Open Its EyesHow a video game about waddling forward past Lovecraftian horrors is also, somehow, about the collective sins of humanity.
