Why is it bad to praise a populist spox specifically for being helpful with requests from press? Some are helpful. Most ignore the non-right-wing/captive press. It’s better when they are helpful. Whether they lie or behave reprehensibly in other ways is a separate question.

why is it bad to normalize and validate a christofascist propagandist who lies constantly and whose boss has murdered millions of people through corruption and racism by saying she's nice in private? Is this a real question?

We deal with a lot of far-right parties whose politics we find awful. We have to contact their spoxes to report on them. Some of those spoxes respond, confirm info, get interviews etc. Others ignore us. On that narrow dimension, it is good for the public if they respond rather than ignore.
