A little tip - this isn't for developers, we all know this... but fans? When a developer you claim to really like and respects makes a post about their game being on sale? It's not the time they want to hear your personal hang-ups on why you hate their game... it's not. You can just not post.

I have blocked more people on this thread... but it makes sense. I am now in the side of your parents on thanksgiving who were explaining to you, you have no social graces and saying you love and respect someone is not the same as showing it. Or y'all can't read.

It is crazy the amount of posts like this I have attracted. People absolutely seething in rage and stupidity, ignoring what I have written and just want to be mad... All brand new accounts. I block and only mention here - block. Block We don't let this pass for discussion here. It needs no reply

people like those two are insane. there's a time and a place for things like this, if you're not satisfied with just leaving a negative review on Steam and moving on then you gotta do some deep soul searching and rethink your priorities.

Any complaints could be shared on a Steam review and hope the devs read it. Or even send a polite and thoughtful message. But blindly seething on a post notifying that their game is on sale seems like the mature thing to do. How exhausting.

There’s truly wild subtext in their arguments of “but the PEOPLE need to know the TRUTH”— like the thing they are mad about is some Very Important Information for society as a whole. A holy mission of illumination. It’s intense to see.

In the same breath—what passes for "reviews" on Steam et al from the general public is too often like verbal abuse. Not like we are talking products costing megabucks. I don't know why it's given the energy that it is—well, I do—unwarranted sense of entitlement—it's just very nasty to see.
