Customer: I love Fritos! Whoa, $8??? Pepsi: Sorry, it's just inflation! C: That sucks. I hafta stop buying 'em... P: Wait, you're gonna stop? Okay, we'll lower the price! C: Cool! Hey, you said it's inflation. Were you gouging me befo- P: HEY LOOK! Flamin Hot RANCH! C: Oh, I LOVE Flamin' Hot!!

Oh look, @PepsiCo is doing Trump math. Stop the nonsense, your snack prices have doubled in five years and you’re giving me back 15%? Not too mention the portion size shrinkage across your entire snack portfolio. Six dollars potatoe chips…have you lost your mind @PepsiCo.

Lots of mocking here, and I can appreciate it, but at least they're doing something. They could have just kept their head down and done nothing. Time will tell I suppose

To late now Pepsico The people have gotten used to the taste of generics And 15% is not enough of a cut to make it affordable in this Trump Republican economy 15% is a joke right? 50% cut would still make your shit more expensive than generics

If record profitability coexists with widespread cost anxiety, and price relief arrives only after collective irritation, then the market is functioning exactly as designed. The real question is do we intend to keep this legal and incented? reboottherenaissance.substack.com/p/the-price-...
