Robinson totally mangled Labour's response to Farage's attacks. It was incomprehensible but, apparently he didn't like it anyway, so it doesn't matter, does it? #r4today

So, is it official? We get an interview with a Reform big cheese every day on #r4today now? (Tice yesterday, Farage today). Quid the other party leaders? Anyway! Good(!) to see Farage once again breaking his boycott of the BBC to tell is what a great bloke he is!

When was the last time, outside party conference season, that #r4today interviewed two leaders of one party two days in a row?

So Melania Trump is better at negotiating ceasefires than her great dealmaker of a husband? Is that what you're saying, #r4today?

Three days' worth of essentials?! Turns out I've been a prepper for years without knowing. I only do food shopping once a week and could probably last another week if I really had to... do people have time (and inclination) to food shop every day?! #r4today

Over on FB we have people complaining that they won't be able to access Selfridges on a bus in a straight line any more. Or that less mobile people capable to walk from bus stop to shops, shops to shops, and within shops will suddenly find it too much to walk to Wigmore Street to catch a bus... 🙄

There's nuance here about "how do we use platforms owned by the fascists". You *have to understand the political purpose of the platforms* in order to use them to subvert authoritarians. For the most part, Americans simply do not. Centrists (including DNC consultants) do not. Major media does not.

Key lessons from Brazil Amplify our people. Ignore the opposition. Use the tools owned by fascists to defeat the fascists? Meet the people where they are. May need to reconsider my staunch position of boycotting Meta for the reason. Thoughts?

This went on for the rest of the full hour, at which point the BBC apologised for having to go to the weather and urged viewers to follow continuing live coverage on iPlayer. Forty-one minutes of unfiltered, unchallenged propaganda by a far right party with 8 MPs, now third in the polls. Discuss.

BBC News just interrupted its coverage to go, live, to Nigel Farage - a man with no contitutional standing in our setup - responding to the budget - a document which nobody has seen yet. WHY

theconversation.comAre transgender sports bans really about protecting women? Survey data tells a different storyIn a recent national survey, Americans with the most negative views of women were the biggest proponents of transgender sports bans.

Of course the BBC's angle in its reporting on the first day of pedestrianisation of part of Oxford Street is: "cyclists are breaking the new rules"! 🙄

Exactly right. It's why the idea of "UK PLC" was so grotesque - as if a nation was just a limited company, that could be wound up, taken over, merged or dissolved, with no roots in the past and no responsibility to the future.

This is important. Over the last few years, Putin had established 'unilateral deterrence': NATO was afraid to do things that might provoke him to use nukes, but he wasn't afraid of NATO's nukes. This is a step towards re-establishing the credibility of UK & FR nukes, regardless of what Trump does.

You have to laugh at the sheer insanity of Turning Point UK being found to be organising literal contract killings and paid agitation at protests up and down the country and it barely even raises a flicker across the press. If that isn't 'terrorism' on some level I don't really know what is
