If you have a fire extinguisher with a plastic handle, check to make sure it's not part of this 2018 recall.

I just checked mine and wouldn't ya know it I've had a recalled extinguisher sitting around all this time! Thanks for the information, getting it replaced as soon as I can!

Sold over the course of 45 years, too. Amazing they even needed to recall fire extinguishers that old, as it means they might still be in use 45 years later.

I recently had to figure out what to do with mine. Go to the Kidde website and the info will be there. They will send you replacements, but SAVE ALL THE PACKAGING AND READ ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS for how to send back the recalled ones.
