Yeah, in every way - looking at my retirement savings in the US stockmarket over the last 3 years - compared to other stockmarkets (many the have risen by 30 or 40 % in that time), the US stockmarket is flatlining. Cause -deliberate chaos and uncertainty of Trump's incessant on/off trade tariffs.

I'll trust the government when they draft a new constitution. As it stands, the one we have amendments can be repealed and people of color are 2/3 of a person again. That is exactly how they are able to undo progress, by not progressing nor redrafting. Also, state governments need fixed.

Trouble is that societies have a natural tendency to progress. It comes with being learning social species. Stasis brings decay and reversing course collapses trust in the institutions. And this breaks the ties that hold us together. Out of fear that progress would break society they broke society.

When the liberals are gone, we can start trusting the government again.
