Every place I’ve visited recently is much more tolerant of diversity, much more environmentally aware, and safer than what was the norm when I was a teenager.

Politically active people live in a bubble. Most humans already live in a non-hollywoodian apocalypse. 2.1 billion people have no access to drinking water. AI and robotics were always the best shot we have to fix the baseline, and I believe they will. #XLR8

We have largely avoided the worst case scenarios for climate change, and it is genuinely really cool to see that in Arizona so many buildings and even some parking lots now have solar panels.

The current situation is accelerating most of the world to reduce oil consumption and to increase solar and wind electricity production.
